Uniforms and Protective. Clothing If an employee is required to wear uniform, 25 protective clothing, or any type of protective device, in the performance of his or her 26 duties, such uniform, protective clothing, or protective device shall be furnished by the 27 County; the cost of maintaining the uniform or protective clothing or device, including 28 initial tailoring, shall be paid by the County, in accordance with the current practice. The 29 County will pay the cost of cleaning required protective clothing.

Uniforms and Protective. Where the Employer determines that uniforms and protective clothing are required in the performance of the employee’s duties, such uniforms and protective clothing shall be provided to the employee. Where uniforms and protective clothing are supplied, the Employer agrees to replace or repair such clothing when damaged in the of the employee’s duties. The costs associated with the repair and replacement of uniforms will be the responsibility of the Employer in cases where the replacement is due to damage resulting from an employee performing expected duties. Where an employee is required, as a condition of employment, to provide and wear approved safety footwear during the course of the employee’s regular duties, the employee will be eligible for an allowance once per fiscal year, to help offset the cost of the employee of purchasing approved safety footwear. The allowance shall be up to one hundred and dollars ($150). The allowance will be paid under the following conditions:
