UNIFORMS AND SHOE ALLOWANCE. 28.01 The Board agrees that (a) all mechanics and mechanic's helpers shall be provided, at no cost to the employees, uniforms and cleaning service in accordance with current practice, with each uniform to consist of pants and shirts, jackets, or coveralls, (b) all mechanics and mechanic's helpers will further be provided with winter-insulated coveralls and a shoe allowance of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) payable in September annually. 28.02 The Board shall provide shirts at no cost to the employee to all custodial employees and a shoe allowance of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) payable in September annually. 28.03 The Board shall provide a minimum of two (2) new uniform shirts at no cost to all bus drivers and bus aides and a shoe allowance of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) payable in September annually.

UNIFORMS AND SHOE ALLOWANCE. 1251 Section 1. An allowance of two hundred and no/100 dollars 1252 ($200.00) per year will be given all permanent full-time employees who 1253 are required by management to purchase uniforms. Those permanent part- 1254 time employees working half time or more will be given a prorated 1255 allowance, except for the Department of General Services which shall 1256 have their uniforms provided by THE EMPLOYER. The uniform 1257 allowance shall be paid quarterly on March 1, June 1, September 1, and 1258 December 1 in each year. For employees on a leave of absence for one 1259 year, the uniform allowance will be discontinued at that point. An access 1260 identification card will be worn by each employee. One access 1261 identification card will be provided by THE EMPLOYER at the time of 1262 employment or department change. 1263 Employees who are provided uniforms but who are required by 1264 management to purchase special shoes that must remain at the Hospital, 1265 shall either be given an allowance of fifty and no/100 ($50.00) dollars per 1266 year or management will provide the shoes. Patient Care Assistants 1267 regularly working in the Emergency Trauma Unit and each intensive care 1268 unit as long as they are provided for other Nursing Service personnel in 1269 the work unit will be provided scrub suits by THE EMPLOYER with the 1270 color to be determined by THE EMPLOYER. The Hospital reserves the 1271 right to discontinue the allowance during the term of this agreement and 1272 provide uniforms to the employees in adequate numbers. 1273 In the event that THE EMPLOYER chooses to change the uniform 1274 worn by employees covered under this agreement, THE UNION and THE 1275 EMPLOYER will meet to negotiate the number of new uniforms to be 1276 provided by THE EMPLOYER to the employee. 1277 A shoe allowance of up to one hundred twenty-five and no/100 1278 dollars ($125.00), per year, with receipts shall be paid to employees who 1279 are required to purchase OSHA-approved safety shoes. 1282 Section 1. A schedule covering job classifications within the 1283 bargaining unit and beginning, intermediate and regular minimum wage 1284 rates for each classification for the term of this contract is attached hereto 1285 as Wage Schedule and is hereby made a part of this Agreement. UNIFORMS AND SHOE ALLOWANCE. Section 23.1. The Town shall furnish uniforms and equipment (duty gear) to all employees who are required to wear such uniforms in the performance of their duties and agrees to replace such uniforms when they are no longer serviceable. Employees must ensure the uniforms are in good repair and must request replacements when item(s) are no longer serviceable. The Town shall provide a bullet resistant vest to each employee and agrees to replace such vests when they are no longer serviceable. Employees must wear said vest while on duty and must request a replacement six (6) months prior to the vest’s expiration (typically every 5 years). Section 23.2. Costs for repair or replacement of watches or prescription eyeglasses damaged or destroyed due to activities of the employee while in the course and scope of duty will be reimbursed by the TOWN at a cost not to exceed one hundred and fifty ($150.00) dollars per item. Section 23.3. A shoe allowance of one hundred and fifty ($150.00) dollars per fiscal year shall be paid to all employees during the first payroll of December each year Employees must wear suitable law enforcement work shoes at all times while on duty. Section 23.4. Only Town approved uniforms, equipment, and gear shall be worn. Employees are not permitted to modify the uniforms, equipment, or gear without the Chief’s prior written approval.

  • Uniform Allowance Where uniforms are required, the Hospital shall either supply and launder uniforms or provide a uniform allowance of per year in a lump sum payment in the first pay period of November of each year.

  • UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT Section 1. Sworn employees of the Sheriff’s Office who are assigned to positions requiring a uniform shall receive Agency-provided uniforms and accessories in accordance with Agency policy at no cost to the employee. Uniforms worn out through normal use shall be replaced by the Sheriff’s Office as determined and approved by the supply staff. Section 2. Employees shall be permitted to purchase additional approved uniform pieces, excluding badges, from the Purchasing and Materials Division, provided sufficient quantities are on hand to cover the normal, required provision of uniforms to employees as per Section 1 above. Employees must pay for these items at the time of purchase or order. Section 3. Employees assigned to uniformed positions shall be eligible to receive a uniform maintenance allowance in the amount of $150 per year provided the employee spent at least 182 days of the calendar year in a uniform assignment. This allowance will be paid to all eligible employees in the last paycheck of the calendar year each December during the term of this Agreement. Section 4. The Sheriff’s Office shall issue body armor to employees and replace same in accordance with General Order 5-1. Section 5. In the event an employee leaves the employ of the Sheriff’s Office, he shall return to the Sheriff’s Office all equipment, uniforms and accessories, including those personally purchased by the employee in accordance with Section 2 above. Section 6. Employees whose prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids or watches are lost, damaged, or destroyed in the line of duty, except in cases where employee negligence caused or contributed to same, will be reimbursed for repair or replacement subject to the criteria detailed below. The Sheriff’s Office shall not reimburse for any other personal property lost, damaged or destroyed in the line of duty. The maximum reimbursement for prescription eyeglasses or hearing aids is the actual cost to repair or replace the item or $150, whichever is less. The maximum reimbursement for contact lenses or watches is the actual cost to repair or replace the item or $50, whichever is less. Requests for reimbursement for the personal property shall be made in writing to the employee’s immediate supervisor during the work shift in which the article of personal property was lost, damaged or destroyed. Except in cases of loss or when an item is repairable, the item for which reimbursement is sought should be turned in along with the written request for reimbursement. To aid in establishing the amount to be reimbursed, the employee will be required to provide to the Sheriff’s Office the receipt for the repair or replacement prior to reimbursement which must be approved by the Sheriff or his designee.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Uniforms and Protective Clothing 33.1 Where the employer requires an employee to wear a uniform, it shall be provided free of charge, but shall remain the property of the employer. 33.2 Suitable protective clothing shall be provided at the employer's expense where the duty involves a risk of excessive soiling or damage to uniforms or personal clothing or a risk of injury to the employee.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance Employees required to work more than two (2) hours overtime consecutive with a shift shall be provided with a meal by the Employer.

  • Parental Leave Allowance ‌ (a) An employee who qualifies for parental leave pursuant to Article 35.03, shall be paid a parental leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) Plan. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof of application and eligibility to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for parental leave allowance. (b) Pursuant to the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) Plan and subject to leave apportionment pursuant to Article 35.03(b), the parental leave allowance will consist of a maximum of ten (10) weekly payments, equivalent to the difference between the employment insurance gross benefits and any other earnings received by the employee, and seventy-five (75) percent of the employee’s basic pay.

  • Mileage Allowance The state agrees to seek continued funding to provide for the payment of a mileage allowance for the use of privately owned vehicles for official travel at the rate provided in section 112.061(7)(d)1., F.S.
