Food Service Employees. Food service employees will be paid at their regular rate for the following holidays if they work the last regularly scheduled work day preceding the holiday and the first regularly scheduled work day after the holiday: Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Friday after Thanksgiving Day Christmas Eve Day Christmas Day New Year’s Day Good Friday (when scheduled on school calendar) Memorial Day
Food Service Employees. If a food service employee is unavailable for work for personal illness, they must call the Supervisor of Food Service at least two (2) hours before their established starting time.
Food Service Employees. Part-time staff may be hired for Food Service positions for 23 peak work load times with agreement of SPALC.
Food Service Employees. School year food service employees shall be entitled to the following paid vacation schedule:
a. During 2016-19, Food Service Employees who have completed eight (8) or more years of service will receive a week equal to five (5) work days of paid vacation for Holiday break based on their current weekly hours and rate of pay.
b. During 2016-19, Food Service Employees who have completed twelve (12) or more years of service will receive two (2) additional days of paid vacation on two non- scheduled workdays based on their current daily hours and rate of pay.
Food Service Employees. The immediate supervisor for all food service classified employees shall be the Cafeteria Manager and the evaluation process for food service classified personnel shall be as listed above for elementary head custodians.
Food Service Employees. Must have a current Food Handlers Permit and pass the Post Offer Employment Test provided by the district. Employees must be capable of physically completing the tasks essential to the job and the district has the right to reassess the employee at any time to determine if they are capable of performing the duties assigned.
Food Service Employees a. All food service hourly employees are guaranteed a minimum of one hundred and eighty (180) working days in the work year.
b. The Board, at its discretion, may require more than one hundred and eighty (180) days per contract year without incurring an overtime rate of pay for the employee.
Food Service Employees a. No food service employee will work more than four hundred and eighty (480) consecutive minutes, including b. a thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch,
Food Service Employees. An employee shall not be required to report to work when school is canceled. The employee will receive his/her normal daily payment for the first four (4) cancelled days. In the event the District is required to reschedule the day(s) in order to receive full state membership aid, the employee will work on the rescheduled day(s) at no additional compensation. For all cancelled days beyond the first four (4), if the days are rescheduled as student instruction days, an employee shall be compensated for the hours worked on the rescheduled days.
Food Service Employees. Food Service staff will receive regular hourly pay when school is closed because of emergencies/inclement weather. Central Administration, with the aid of the Food Service Director, will determine whether Food Service employees will come to work on such days. The Director will call the employees by10:00AM if they are to come to work. If the employee is called to work and fails to report, they may elect a pay deduction or a leave beginning after the designated starting time. Food Service employees who have reported to the assigned destination and must return home due to an “emergency” cancellation will be paid for their time when the canceled day is in excess of the grace days allowed under the school calendar. Any additional make-up hours in excess of the grace hours under the contract will be paid as those hours are made up.
