UNION RECOGNITION AND MANAGEMENT RIGHTS. 2.01 The University recognizes the Union as being the only official representative and the sole authorized agent, for negotiation or other purposes, for the employees covered by this agreement. 2.02 The University has and retains all its rights and privileges in effectively managing and administering its activities in conformity with its obligations, all subject to the provisions of this agreement.

UNION RECOGNITION AND MANAGEMENT RIGHTS. 3.01 For the purposes of bargaining and applying the Collective Agreement, the Employer recognizes the Public Service Alliance of Canada as the sole official representative and bargaining agent for employees covered by the bargaining certificate issued by the Ministère du Travail and any amendment thereto. 3.02 The Union recognizes the Employer’s right to carry out its executive, administrative and management functions as provided in the Collective Agreement.
UNION RECOGNITION AND MANAGEMENT RIGHTS. 2.01 The Company recognizes the Union as the collective bargaining agent for all Employees except office, clerical, and technical staff in the Xxxxxx Xxxx Gas Complex, hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Plant” (except temporary employees).

(b) The Company agrees that its functions will not be exercised in a manner inconsistent with the other provisions of this Agreement in an effort to maintain and promote a harmonious relationship with the employees and the Union.

  • UNION RECOGNITION AND SECURITY 6.01 SAHO and the Employers recognize the Union as the sole bargaining representative for all Employees within the scope of this Agreement. 6.02 SAHO and the Employers agree to negotiate with the Union and its designated representatives and agree the Union may have the assistance of outside advisors in negotiation or discussion with XXXX and the Employers. 6.03 Every Employee, who is now or hereafter becomes a member of the Union, shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment, and every new Employee whose employment commences hereafter shall, within thirty (30) days after the commencement of employment, apply for and maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment, provided that any Employee covered by this agreement who is not required to maintain membership in the Union shall, as a condition of employment, tender to the Union the periodic dues uniformly required to be paid by members of the Union. 6.04 The Employer agrees to deduct uniform membership dues, fees and assessments from the earnings due members of the Union. Deductions shall be made no later than the last pay of each month. (a) Provincial dues, fees and assessments shall be remitted to the SUN office within fifteen (15) calendar days following the date deductions were made. The Employer shall, when remitting such dues, provide in a single report the members’ names, Facility/Agency work location, status, classification, salary step and regular earnings. A list of newly hired, and terminated Employees shall also accompany the remittance. In addition to the information required above, the support list accompanying the remittance of Union dues shall show a residence address for all newly hired Employee(s). On a quarterly basis, the Employer shall provide the names and addresses of the Employees within the scope of the bargaining unit. (b) Local dues, fees and assessments shall be remitted to the Local within fifteen (15) calendar days following the date deductions were made. The Employer shall, when remitting such dues, provide in a single report, the members’ names, Facility/Agency work location, status, classification, salary step and regular earnings. A list of newly hired, and terminated Employees shall also accompany the remittance.   • Recognition and Rights of Stewards The Employer recognizes the Union's right to select stewards to represent employees. The Employer and the Union will agree on the number of stewards, taking into account both operational and geographic considerations. The Union agrees to provide the Employer with a list of the employees designated as stewards. A xxxxxxx shall make every effort to perform the duties of a xxxxxxx outside of normal working hours. If this is not possible, a xxxxxxx, or her alternate, shall obtain the permission of her immediate supervisor before leaving her work to perform her duties as a xxxxxxx. Leave for this purpose shall be without loss of pay. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. On resuming her normal duties, the xxxxxxx shall notify her supervisor. The duties of stewards shall include: (a) investigation of complaints of an urgent nature; (b) investigation of grievances and assisting any employee whom the xxxxxxx represents in presenting a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure; (c) supervision of ballot boxes and other related functions during ratification votes; (d) carrying out duties within the realm of safety responsibilities, these being recognized as complaints of an urgent nature which require immediate attention; (e) attending meetings called by the Employer.
