Use of Sick Leave for Personal Reasons. Four (4) sick leave days may be used for personal reasons annually in accordance with the following: a. During non-Performance Weeks, the Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager will notify the EMPLOYER in writing not less than twenty- one (21) days in advance of the first sick day used for personal reasons. The EMPLOYER will provide the Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager with a signed receipt of the aforementioned notification acknowledging that it has been received. In the event that the Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager requests use of a sick day for personal reasons with less than twenty-one (21) days’ notice, the EMPLOYER shall not unreasonably deny such request and shall, in all cases, respond to such request in writing within seven (7) calendar days of signed request receipt. In the event the request is rejected, ARTIST will receive expedited arbitration if requested by AGMA. The foregoing notwithstanding, if more than one (1) Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager notify the EMPLOYER of the use of the same day, the use of a sick day for personal reasons for the second (2nd) or later Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager requesting will be subject to the approval of the EMPLOYER. b. During Performance and tech Rehearsal Weeks, use of sick days for personal reasons is subject to the approval by the EMPLOYER.

During Performance and tech Rehearsal Weeks, use of sick days for personal reasons is subject to the approval by the EMPLOYER. EMPLOYER agrees to make best efforts to accommodate an ARTIST’s request for use of sick leave days for personal reasons for religious observances that occur during Performance and Tech Rehearsal Weeks if ARTIST submits Request Form to use sick leave days for personal reasons no later than the return of their Individual Artist Agreement. EMPLOYER shall respond no later than two (2) weeks after the request has been submitted. Should circumstances change and ARTIST’s services are needed on requested leave days, ARTIST agrees to discuss with EMPLOYER to find a mutually agreeable solution. ii.
