VACATIONS AND EARNED PAID LEAVE. 17.1 Subject to the limitation on accumulation and earning of vacation leave set forth in Subsection 17.4 vacation leave shall be earned from the date upon which the employee is first covered by this Agreement. Other non-bargaining unit employment with the City will be credited provided it is consecutive City service. 17.2 Except as provided in Appendix G, vacation leave shall be earned by permanent full-time employees at the rate of .77 hours per week in the first through the second year of service; 1.54 hours per week in the third through sixth year of service; 2.31 hours per week in the seventh through nineteenth year of service; and 3.08 hours per full payroll week in the twentieth and each succeeding year of service. The weekly earnings rate shall be adjusted in the final week of the calendar year in accordance with annual accrual amounts of 40 hours, 80 hours, 120 hours, and 160 hours. This year-end adjustment for employees who have not been employed as a permanent employee for the full calendar year will be based on a pro-ration of these annual amounts. 17.3 Vacation leave earnings shall be credited and posted on a weekly basis. For purposes of this Article, years of service is defined as permanent consecutive City service. 17.4 Employees may accumulate earned vacation time on the following basis: 17.4.1 All employees hired prior to January 1, 1979 may accumulate up to a maximum of 240 hours of vacation leave. 17.4.2 All employees hired on or after January 1, 1979 may accumulate up to a maximum of 200 hours of vacation leave; however the maximum payout for vacation leave is 160 hours. 17.4.3 In the event that an employee has accumulated the maximum amount of leave, including time converted from sick to vacation leave pursuant to Article 24.3, Conversion of Sick Leave, such employee shall not earn any additional vacation leave. The employee will begin earning vacation leave again in the month in which the earned leave drops below the maximum, but such earnings shall not be retroactive. 17.5 Vacations shall be scheduled by the Department Head or designee, throughout the calendar year as long as such scheduling does not interfere with normal work-flow requirements as determined by said Department Head.   • Vacations and Leave a. Executive may take vacations and other leave in accordance with the Bank’s policy for senior executives, or otherwise as approved by the Board. b. In addition to paid vacations and other leave, the Board may grant Executive a leave or leaves of absence, with or without pay, at such time or times and upon such terms and conditions as the Board, in its discretion, may determine.

  • Vacations and Sick Leave The Executive shall be entitled to paid annual vacation leave in accordance with the policies as established from time to time by the Board of Directors, which shall in no event be less than four weeks per annum. The Executive shall also be entitled to an annual sick leave benefit as established by the Board for senior management employees of the Bank. The Executive shall not be entitled to receive any additional compensation from the Bank for failure to take a vacation or sick leave, nor shall he be able to accumulate unused vacation or sick leave from one year to the next; provided, however, such Executive may carry forward from year to year a maximum of ten days of unused vacation leave.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY 9.01 All employees who are covered under this Agreement shall receive vacation pay as a percent of the employee's total earnings exclusive of the Employer's contribution to the Union's Pension, Health Benefit Plan, Education and Assistance Fund and Industry Fund. Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay. a. Employees shall, upon hire, receive ten percent (10%) vacation pay, and up to three weeks of vacation. b. Employees with ten or more years of service with the Employer shall receive twelve percent (12%) vacation pay, and up to four weeks of vacation. 9.02 Vacation periods shall be arranged by mutual agreement between the Employer and each employee. Employees shall be granted their vacation periods as requested insofar as it is practical and in accordance with seniority, unless the Employer decides to grant all vacations at one time, in which case the Employer shall give the employees at least six (6) weeks advance notice. 9.03 The Employer agrees to remit the Vacation Pay of each employee as agreed upon in 9.01 of this Agreement and in accordance with the regulation set by the Employment Standards Branch, Ministry of Labour, monthly before, but not later than the fifteenth of the following month to the Union using a separate cheque marked "Vacation Pay", accompanied by a list on which all deductions and contributions as mentioned in 6.01, 13.02, 14.02a, 14.02b, 18.01, 19.01 and Schedule "A" are recorded. 9.04 In accordance with the agreement with the Employment Standards Branch, Ministry of Labour, the Board of Trustees of the Union's Vacation Pay Trust Fund, is obligated to take any steps which may be available to them either in law or in equity or in bankruptcy as may be necessary or desirable to effect collection from delinquent Employers. All costs incurred in the collection of said payment will be charged to such defaulting Employer. 9.05 The Employer agrees to give the auditor of the Union's Trust Fund the privilege to examine the Employer's records concerning hours and monies forwarded to the Union, if and when the auditor so desires. Any date for such an examination will be pre-arranged in writing between the auditor, the Employer and the Union.

  • Vacation Leave Credits ‌ Full-time and part-time employees will be credited with vacation leave accrued monthly, according to the rate schedule and vacation leave accrual below.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that he incurs:

  • Vacation; Paid Time Off During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the Company’s vacation policies, as in effect from time to time. The Executive shall receive other paid time-off in accordance with applicable law and the Company’s policies for executive officers as such policies may exist from time to time.

  • Vacation Credit Any outstanding vacation entitlement for a person going on LTD will be paid in cash upon expiry of sick leave. The cash payment will be calculated on the base earnings at the expiration of sick leave for the prorated days of vacation entitlement, any outstanding lieu days, any outstanding floating statutory holidays, and banked time for 40-hour per week employees. No vacation entitlement, floating holidays, or banked time for 40-hour per week employees accrues while a member is in receipt of LTD benefits.

  • Vacation Leave 11.1 Employees will retain and carry forward any eligible and unused vacation leave that was accrued prior to the effective date of this Agreement.
