Washroom Breaks. The Company shall allow a maximum of two eight minute washroom breaks per person per shift. Employees scheduled for five hours or less will receive one eight minute washroom break. This will include and shifts and Statutory Holidays. To ensure there is no misunderstanding with regard topersonal necessity for emergency situations, the following will state the Company’s position: the Company that from time to time or for certain medical reasons, employees may require more personal necessity time than was agreed to at negotiations. The Company will allow employees more personal necessity or frequencies when it is absolutely necessary. However, these occasions must be the exception rather than the rule. However, the employee will qualify for statutory holiday pay if he has been excused from working the required regular shift by his xxxxxxx OR production manager or has been laid off, providing he has received payment for hours worked during the week containing the holiday or during the preceding week if the holiday falls on Monday. An employee who is disabled from working on either or both the regular shift immediately preceding or following the paid holiday and such disability is verified by a doctor’s certificate, will be paid for the statutory holiday. If the employee is eligible for any payment to which the Company contributes either directly or indirectly for the day on which the Statutory Holiday is observed during the first fifteen weeks of the absence, the Company will supplement this payment to bring his earnings to a level equal to a regular day’s wage.

Washroom Breaks. The Parties recognize the need, on occasion, for washroom breaks other than the normal break periods. The parties also recognize that washroom breaks should not be abused either in frequency or duration. When washroom relief is necessary, the following steps should be followed: (a) Contact a computer Booth Operator or Floor Supervisor; (b) If no relief is available in reasonable time. Of necessary, proceed to the washroom and return as quickly as reasonable possible.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Coffee Breaks The Company will provide two (2) fifteen (15) minute coffee breaks during each work day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer. (b) Subject to agreement between the employer and employee, such breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20 minute tea break. (c) Xxx breaks will count as time worked.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Restrooms The restrooms, toilets, urinals, vanities and the other apparatus shall not be used for any purpose other than that for which they were constructed, and no foreign substance of any kind whatsoever shall be thrown therein. The expense of any breakage, stoppage or damage resulting from the violation of this rule shall be borne by the Tenant whom, or whose employees or invitees, shall have caused it.

  • Wash all machine-washable bedding, drapes, and clothing, on the hottest water temperature and dry on the highest heat setting. Items that cannot be washed must be taken to a dry cleaner who MUST be informed of the issue. You must safely discard ALL items that cannot be decontaminated.

  • Breaks 40.1 One 10-minute paid morning rest break and one 30 minute unpaid lunch break will be scheduled within 6 hours after work starts. 40.2 Where an Employee is required to work more than two hours overtime after the usual ceasing time of the day or shift they shall be allowed a 20 minute rest break paid at ordinary time rates prior to commencing overtime. Employees who take payment in lieu of stopping work for this break will be regarded as having worked a further 20 minutes and shall be paid at overtime rates. 40.3 An Employee working overtime on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday shall be allowed a 30-minute combined Rest Period/Meal/Crib Break after four hours work, such time to be paid at double ordinary time rates, with a further 20 minute Crib break to be paid at double ordinary time rates if the overtime continues past 8 hours worked. 40.4 In the case of overtime work being cancelled by the Employer at the end of the 4-hour minimum or any time thereafter, Employees will, in addition to the payments as prescribed, be paid for the 30 minutes combined Crib/Meal/Rest Period if not already taken. 40.5 If work proceeds beyond the 4 hours minimum then Employees will be paid for all time so worked.

  • Toilets Papers, dust, cobwebs, peels, cans/bottles, cigarette butts, excrement on floor, bad smells, water pools, leaking sewage, rodents, animals (dead or alive), overflowing sanitary bins. 0 = NOT APPLICABLE 1 = UNACCEPTABLE (Toilets out of order. Toilets not cleaned on daily basis.) 2 = POOR (Toilets cleaned, but still visible signs of dirt, e.g. dust, cobwebs.) 3 = GOOD (Obvious sign that toilets are cleaned daily.) 4 = EXCELLENT (Extra effort is put in to ensure cleanliness, e.g. using detergents.)

  • Work Breaks Meal breaks 36.1 There will be a cessation of work and of working time, for the purpose of a meal on each day, of not less than thirty (30) minutes, to be taken between 11.00am and 1.00pm. Such period will be unpaid. 36.2 Where, because of the area or location of a project, the majority of on-site employees on the project request, and agreement is reached, the period of the meal break may be lengthened to not more than forty-five (45) minutes with a consequential adjustment to the daily time of cessation of work. Working during meal break 36.3 If the employer requires an employee to work through the employee’s normal meal break the employee will be paid at the rate of double time until the employee is allowed to take such break. 36.4 Where the meal break is shortened by agreement, the employer will pay for the period by which the meal break is shortened, which will then form part of ordinary time hours. Daily rest breaks 36.5 There will be allowed, without deduction of pay, a rest period of ten (10) minutes, between 9.00am and 11.00am. The times provides in clauses 36.1 and 36.5 are indicative only and subject to the reasonable operational requirements of the employer.
