The WORK WEEK AND WORK SHIFT clause defines the standard days and hours during which employees are expected to work. WORK WEEK AND WORK SHIFT. 10.1 The standard payroll work week shall begin at 0000 hours Sunday and end at 2400 hours Saturday, which period shall be referred to as the standard work week. The City agrees employees covered by this Agreement shall be scheduled to eighty-four
WORK WEEK AND WORK SHIFT. The standard payroll Workweek shall begin at 0001 Hours Sunday and end at 2400 Hours Saturday. Employees will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. The City agrees that employees covered by this agreement shall be scheduled to work forty (40) hours per seven (7) day week. Current work shifts are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a. m. Permanent changes to the Communications Unit’s work schedule shall only be made with a minimum notice of thirty (30) calendar days. In the event management wishes to establish a work shift less than eight (8) hours or more than ten (10) hours in duration, changes must be by mutual consent with the Union. Each shift, employees will receive time with pay away from their work stations for one (1) meal break of thirty (30) minutes and two (2) breaks during the shift not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes each, workload permitting. These break times will be at the discretion of and with the approval of supervision but shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees on duty during the changeover from standard time to Daylight Savings Time shall be paid their regular hours without loss of pay. Employees on duty during the changeover from Daylight Savings Time to standard time shall be compensated for the additional time worked.
WORK WEEK AND WORK SHIFT. A. Employees covered by this contract shall have a regularly scheduled work week of at least 20 hours or more each week. B. Full-time employees of the West Newbury Public Safety Dispatch/Fire and Police Signal Operators will work a schedule whereby they work equal shifts of 8 hours. C. Full-time employees of the West Newbury Public Safety Dispatch/Fire and Police Signal Operators will work a schedule whereby they will work 4 consecutive days on duty and 2 consecutive days off. They will be paid for the actual hours worked. D. Administrative Schedules that do not call for the 4 and 2 formula will be given extra time off to comply with the average prescribed in section C. above. E. The existing dispatch shifts are defined as 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM.; and 12 AM -8:00 AM, notwithstanding the above listed shifts, nothing in this article shall be construed to limit the Director of Public Safety Dispatch/Fire and Police Signal Operators in creating different shifts for emergencies.
WORK WEEK AND WORK SHIFT. 11.2.1 The regular work week for the Corrections Division shall consist of four (4) consecutive days on and two (2) consecutive days off, with the exception of the following: Correction Lieutenant, Correction Officer on Transport Duty, Correction Officer on Visitation Duty, Correction Officer on Grievance Duty, Training Sergeant, Administrative Sergeant, Correction Officer on Classification Duty, Correction Officer on Program Area Rover Duty. Officers assigned to the duties listed as exceptions, including Court Officers, shall work a schedule consisting of five consecutive days on (Monday-Friday) and two consecutive days off. 11.2.2 The regular work day or work shift for all employees shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours within a twenty-four (24) hour period, commencing from the employees regular starting time, which shall include a paid lunch period of one-half (1/2) hour. All employees shall be scheduled to work on a regular work shift which shall have a regular starting and quitting time.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (b) (applicable to part-time employees only) The normal or standard work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and the normal or standard full- time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one- half (37½) hours per week except in those hospitals where agreements already provide a normal or standard work day of less than seven and one-half hours and a normal or standard full-time work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this article.) Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Standard Work Week (a) Except as provided below, the standard work week for Full-time Employees shall normally consist of 35 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7 hours. (b) The standard work week for certain Full-time Employees, including but not limited to, technical Employees, shall normally consist of 37.5 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7.5 hours.
