Working on a Rostered Day Off. 14.3.7.1. Where operational requirement present difficulty in rostering an employee for nine (9) RDOs at the time rosters are being prepared, by mutual agreement, an employee may be rostered for eight (8) RDOs with eight (8) hours added to the employee’s recreation leave balance in lieu of the ninth (9th) RDO being provided. 14.3.7.2. When a full‐time, flexible time or part‐time employee is offered and accepts additional shifts such that they will have less than 9 rostered days off in a 4 week term, these additional shifts will be paid as overtime at the rate of double time. Alternatively the employee may choose to take time in lieu of payment for overtime as provided for in Clause 18.2 (Leave in Lieu of Payment for Overtime). 14.3.7.3. These overtime shifts are termed “worked RDOs” and continue to count as rostered days off for the purposes of clause 14.3 (Rostering Days Off). 14.3.7.4. These overtime shifts will not invoke the 34 or 55‐hour rules, however the ten hour break between shifts will still apply.
Working on a Rostered Day Off. 14.3.7.1. An employee may mutually agree to receive less than their prescribed minimum of nine RDOs in a 4-week roster cycle, and may either be: a) Rostered 8 RDOs with 8 hours added to their recreation leave balance; or b) Paid overtime at the rate of double time for these worked RDOs. The employee may alternatively choose to receive leave in lieu of payment for overtime as provided for in the overtime clause of this agreement. These overtime shifts will continue to count as rostered days off for the purposes of clause 14.3 (Rostering Days Off) and will not invoke the 34 or 55-hour rules. However, the ten hour break between shifts will still apply. 14.3.7.2. Where more than one public holiday occurs within a 4 week roster period, a rosterer may convert up to two RDOs to an employee’s recreation leave balance and roster no less than 7 RDOs in the roster cycle. In these circumstances, RDOs will convert at the rate of 8 hours for full-time employees and 4 hours for part-time and flexible time employees.
Working on a Rostered Day Off. 9.9.1 An Employee required to work on a rostered day off and not given another day off in that week shall be paid as follows: time worked thereon shall stand-alone and shall be paid for at double ordinary time hourly rate with a minimum payment of four (4) hours at the double ordinary time hourly rate. 9.9.2 Ordinary time rate of pay per hour is 1/38 of the weekly rate prescribed in Clause 9. 9.9.3 Notwithstanding the rate prescribed in subclause (a) above, at the instigation of the Employee there may be an agreement in writing between the Employee and the Company to take time off with pay equivalent to the amount for which payment would otherwise have been made. Such accumulated time must be taken within four (4) weeks from the time of accrual.

In the case where employees attend a port emergency and fatigue limits are exceeded, they will be given appropriate fatigue rest periods as soon as possible after the emergency is contained. In the case of port emergencies, employees will be paid overtime rates (in 4.4) for whatever time is worked outside of their normal rostered arrangements or they can bank the time to be used as time off in lieu at a later date.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest ‌ (a) When a paid holiday falls on a regular full-time employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the holiday. (b) If a regular full-time employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at time and one-half for all hours worked.

A foreign citizen/foreign company may be allowed to bid for the property and if the bid is successful, the sale is subject to the foreign citizen/company applying and obtaining at his/her/its own cost to the Economic Planning Unit (if applicable) and/or relevant State Authority for the unconditional consent to the sale within the period stated in Clause 11 hereof but subject to Clause 22 hereof.

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

  • INTEREST ON ARREARS Any interest instalment unpaid on maturity shall yield interest, of right and without formal notice, at the same rate as applicable to the portion of the loan whose interest is unpaid on maturity, such interest being payable to the Lender on request.

  • Compensation for Work on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is regularly scheduled to work, in accordance with Article 14, and their regularly scheduled day of work falls on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, they shall receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2 ½) times their regular rate of pay as follows: (i) compensation at one and one-half (1½) times their regular rate of pay, including the holiday pay, for the hours worked on the holiday; and (ii) time off with pay in lieu of the holiday on an hour-for-hour basis at a mutually acceptable time in accordance with Article 18.11. (b) Where time off with pay in lieu of the holiday has not been granted in accordance with Article 18.05(a)(ii), compensation shall be granted at the Employee’s regular rate of pay for those hours worked on the holiday.
