Xxxxxxxx & PPE. Employees shall be issued on commencement with (and shall wear while on site) the following clothing issue: Three pairs of long trousers Five long sleeve shirts One pair of safety boots A winter jacket will also be provided to employees at a time deemed appropriate by the Company and after taking into consideration the climatic conditions. Clothing will be of a standard and nature as deemed relevant and appropriate by the Company. Clothing shall be replaced by the Company on a fair wear and tear basis. An employee who loses parts of the issue will be required to purchase necessary replacements. The Company shall supply all relevant PPE equipment and employees shall be required to wear such equipment at all times as directed and/or as required by the site rules and/or procedures. Any breach of this provision may give rise to termination of employment. Xxxxxxxx & PPE. LAJV will provide its Employees, on commencement of employment, with the following items of safety clothing which must be worn at all times (other than when inside a crib shed): (a) safety helmet (helmets must not be painted, drilled or modified in any way); (b) protective eye wear that meets AS1337; (c) safety gloves; (d) safety vest; and (e) safety footwear. They will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis provided the item to be replaced is handed back to LAJV. LAJV shall supply all relevant safety clothing and any other necessary protective equipment/materials and Employees shall be required to wear such clothing or equipment at all times as directed and/or as required by LAJV. Any breach of this provision will give rise to disciplinary action. Disciplinary action taken under this clause may include verbal or written warnings, suspension without pay of up to one week and termination of employment. LAJV will provide Employees with the following items of clothing which will be replaced as a result of fair wear and tear provided they are handed back to LAJV: (a) One (1) winter jacket; (b) Four (4) pairs of long trousers; and (c) Four (4) high visibility long sleeve shirts. An Employee who loses any part of the clothing issue must purchase any replacement item he/she requires.

An Employee who does not wish to be issued with long trousers will be provided with four (4) pairs of overalls instead of the trousers and the long sleeve shirts. Xxxxxxxx & PPE. Mandatory Equipment (i) Employee(s) will be provided, on commencement of employment, with a safety helmet, safety gloves and eye protection/safety glasses that meet Australian Standards. (ii) The safety helmet and other items of personal protective equipment provided must be worn at all times as instructed during the site induction process. Helmets must not be painted, drilled or modified in any way, including affixing any other paraphernalia not approved by the Company. (iii) Employees will be required to wear such clothing or equipment at all times as directed and/or required by the Company. Any breach of this provision may give rise to disciplinary action. Disciplinary action taken under this clause may include verbal or written warnings, suspension without pay of up to one week and termination of employment. (iv) Safety footwear will be supplied as soon as practicable upon the commencement of employment. Damaged and/or worn footwear and/or helmets will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis, provided they are produced to the Company for inspection. (v) The Company will arrange for personal protective clothing supplied by the company to Tunnel Workers to be washed, either on-site or off-site, at no cost to the Employee. Job Related Equipment (i) The Company will provide all necessary safety protective clothing, equipment and materials for use on specific work tasks as follows: (A) Factor 30+ protective sunscreen; (B) Hearing protection e.g. ear plugs/muffs; (C) Eye protection, including, as approved by the Company, prescription safety glasses or safety glasses that fit over prescription glasses, that meets Australian Standard; (D) Safety gloves, that meets Australian Standard; (E) Safety boots (replaced as a result of fair wear and tear); (F) Gumboots; (as required) (G) Dust masks; (H) Wet weather clothing; (as required) (I) Safety vests; (J) Long trousers; and (K) Long Sleeve shirt; (L) Task specific PPE may include items like P2 respirators and positive air pressure fed helmets/respirators (PAPR) for high-risk works. The company will consult with employees during the development of task specific risk assessments An Employee who has been issued with the required protective safety equipment and is found not to be wearing/using it on the job may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the procedure set out in clause 3.14.
