Youth Protection. A comprehensive approach to Youth Protection has been established for the sake of our youth. On line Training is available and periodic training may be held by the Troop. Youth Protection Training teaches us that we use 2 DEEP LEADERSHIP in Scouting. No Scout will be alone with any Adult who is not their Parent or Guardian EVER. We will strive to keep our Youth within our sight and sound. • All Youth in Troop 423 are REQUIRED to participate in Youth Protection Training. • All Adults participating in ANY Troop 423 Activity are REQUIRED to have Youth Protection. That includes but is not limited to outings, camping, volunteer activities, merit badge counseling, etc.

The duties of Victim Assistance Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following: ▪Receive allegations of sexual misconduct against minors and vulnerable adults. ▪Listen with compassion to the experiences and concerns of victims. ▪Advise victims of their right to report to civil authorities and inform them they will be supported in the exercise of that right. ▪Inform the Xxxxxx of allegations including any anonymous allegations or allegations that do not contain sufficient information.
Youth Protection. The SYM strives to create a safe and secure environment for its youth participants. We encourage participants and parents who may have concerns to let us know so we can ensure the issues are addressed. The guidelines and procedures set forth below represent our effort to ensure all SYM leaders, volunteers and youth members understand the expectations of the SYM. All SYM Assemblies are responsible for creating their own Youth Protection Policies and adhering to them; the following guidelines and procedures apply to everyone, including leaders, volunteers and SYM members. Abuse of any kind shall not be permitted within our organization. SYM does not tolerate any form of abuse, whether physical, sexual, emotional or verbal, or any other misconduct from our leaders, volunteers or youth members. Physical or sexual abuse is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, striking, hitting, kicking, biting, spitting, indecent gesturing, lewd remarks, indecent exposure, unwanted physical contact, any form of sexual contact or inappropriate touching, innuendo or suggestions. Emotional or verbal abuse is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of foul, demeaning, threatening or bullying language or making abusive statements about a person’s race, gender, religion, nationality, color, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic. Every activity sponsored by the SYM should be monitored to ensure no youth or group of youth is alone without an SYM leader or other approved adult. Unless an emergency exists, no adult shall take a youth alone to bathrooms or any other secluded setting. When traveling with youth participants, youth should be paired with other youth of the same gender and similar age group. Sleeping, bathing and clothes-changing accommodations must respect the privacy of the youth. Youth shall be empowered to trust their feelings, and SYM leaders and volunteers shall make clear that their concerns are important by listening to them. Open communication between youth and parents or between youth and other adults in the organization may help reveal early warning signs of abuse. Part of your leadership responsibility is to be alert to any activity or condition that could threaten the safety of our youth. All persons involved with SYM shall immediately report to local law enforcement authorities any good faith suspicion or belief that a youth is—or has been—physically, sexually or emotionall...

  • System Protection To prevent compromise of systems which contain DSHS Data or through which that Data passes: a. Systems containing DSHS Data must have all security patches or hotfixes applied within 3 months of being made available. b. The Contractor will have a method of ensuring that the requisite patches and hotfixes have been applied within the required timeframes. c. Systems containing DSHS Data shall have an Anti-Malware application, if available, installed. d. Anti-Malware software shall be kept up to date. The product, its anti-virus engine, and any malware database the system uses, will be no more than one update behind current.

  • Child Protection The Contractor acknowledges that it (and its personnel) are aware of the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW) and all related laws concerning child protection (Child Protection Laws). The Contractor will ensure that it (and its personnel) comply with the requirements of the Child Protection Laws and policies of the DoE relating to child protection as notified to the Contractor from time to time. The Contractor must, at the Contractor’s expense, certify that the Contractor and the Contractor’s personnel are not a prohibited person under any Child Protection Laws and undergo any other screening, such as the ‘Working with Children Check’, as required under Child Protection Laws or by the School (or DoE). Any of the Contractor’s personnel that is a prohibited person under any Child Protection Laws must not be engaged in providing any Services. The Contractor is to immediately advise the Department if it becomes aware that it (or its personnel) are the subject of a reportable allegation involving children.

  • TEACHER PROTECTION A. The teachers shall have the right to review those things in his/her personnel file to which he/she is entitled by Law. At the option of the teacher, a representative of the Association may be present for such review. Each file shall contain a record indicating reviewer and date of review, excluding school personnel official access for record maintenance. B. The teacher may submit a written notation regarding any material and the same will be attached to the file copy of the material in question. If the teacher is asked to sign material placed in his/her file, such signature will be understood to indicate his/her awareness of the material but in no instance shall said signature be interpreted to mean agreement with the content of the material. X. Any serious complaint made against a teacher by any parent, student, and other person will be promptly called to the attention of the teacher. D. Each teacher has the responsibility for maintaining proper student control and discipline throughout the school day as well as at school-sponsored activities where he/she is serving as a sponsor or chaperone. The teacher, however, has the primary responsibility for maintaining control and discipline in his/her classroom. The Board will give reasonable support and assistance to teachers with respect to maintenance of control and discipline. Whenever is appears that a particular pupil requires special attention, reasonable steps shall be taken to provide such attention. The teachers recognize that all disciplinary actions and methods invoked by them shall be in accordance with established Board policy. F. Any case of assault upon a teacher which is related to a school-centered problem shall be promptly reported to the Board or its designated representative. If the assault was by a pupil or pupils, the Administration shall promptly investigate the matter and determine suitable discipline for the assaulting pupil. This decision shall be communicated to the teacher concerned. If the assault is by an adult, who is not a pupil, the Board its designee representative shall promptly report the incident to the proper law enforcement authorities. G. A teacher may suspend a pupil from one (1) period, when the grossness of the offense, the persistence of the misbehavior, or the disruptive effect of the violation makes the continued presence of the student in that classroom intolerable. In such cases, the teacher will promptly (by the end of the school day) furnish the administrator or counselor full particulars of the incident. The teacher and the administration will cooperatively endeavor to achieve correction of student behavior through whatever avenues are reasonably available. H. School administrators and teachers will endeavor to achieve correction of the students' misbehavior through counseling and interviews with the child and his/her parents when warranted.
