Long Service Recognition. Regular full-time employees who have completed thirty (30) years of continuous service with The Windsor Star shall be entitled to two (2) days off with pay each year, commencing with the year following the employee's thirtieth (30th) anniversary. Long Service Recognition. An Employee, commencing on their thirty-first (31st) year anniversary date and each year thereafter, shall receive one (1) additional day with pay. Employees will not be entitled to this additional day off with pay in years where they are entitled to their bonus week of vacation as outlined in article 13.21. The additional day off shall be scheduled on a day that is mutually agreeable to the parties and shall not be unreasonably denied. The Long Service Recognition Day will be utilized in the year it was awarded to them, this day is not to be carried forward. It is the employee’s responsibility to track this day.
Long Service Recognition. An employee who resigns or passes away (payable to their estate) from his/her position with the Division after fifteen (15) or more consecutive years of service in a support staff position shall be entitled to and have the option of a paid leave or a lump sum payment based on two (2) days for each year of said service. The number of days to which an employee is so entitled shall be calculated on a pro-rated basis for part-time employment during said service, if applicable. The determination of Long Service Recognition for Bus Drivers shall include program runs.
