CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. F. 11.1 It is understood under this Article new curriculum includes Ministry of Education mandated new curriculum, curriculum revisions and also locally developed programs. F.11.2 When new curriculum is being introduced to the School District, the Board and the Association agree to form a Joint Curriculum Implementation Committee, consisting of three representatives named by the Association and three representatives named by the Board. F.11.3 The Committee shall study the potential school and district effects of the new curriculum, which may include but not be limited to: a. effects on other courses and student programs; b. effects on staffing; c. effects on budget; d. effects on space and equipment. F.11.4 The Joint Curriculum Implementation Committee may make recommendations to the Education Directions Committee of the Board on all aspects of curriculum implementation in the District. Including but not be limited to: a. time considerations; b. in-service relating to the new curriculum; c. materials;

CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. 23.1 The Board shall maintain district curriculum advisory committees which will include teacher representation and will provide advice to the Board on the implementation of new curriculum. 23.2 Position vacancies on district curriculum advisory committees shall be advertised and teachers shall be appointed by the Director of School Services following a process of consultation between the Director of School Services and the Association.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION a. The Board will make every effort to ensure that adequate materials are provided for new courses, and are available without reducing the materials and supplies available for other courses in the school program. b. The Board agrees that new curricula will not be introduced until an adequate process, including an adequate appeal process, has been set up to determine which teachers will be assigned to or teach the new curriculum and to determine other requirements required by the course being offered. c. Training shall be provided for all teachers whose assignments are changed as a result of new curriculum.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. 1. A joint committee shall be struck for the purpose of consultation regarding all matters concerning the implementation of either provincial or local new curricula.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. F.22.1. There shall be a Joint Curriculum Implementation Committee (s) established consisting of an equal number of representatives of the Union and the Board. F.22.2. The committee shall meet at the request of either party to discuss implementation of the new curricula. F.22.3. The committee will review curriculum implementation plans considering in-service requirements, provision and identification of new materials and funds required for implementation. F.22.4. The Board, after reviewing the recommendation of the Curriculum Implementation Committee, shall provide in-service opportunities to teachers.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. F.3.1 Each year in September the Board and the Local shall establish a joint committee, to be known as the Joint Curriculum Implementation Committee, consisting of five (5) members named by the Local and four (4) representatives of the Board, one of whom shall be the Chairperson of the Education Committee. F.3.2 The Joint Curriculum Implementation Committee shall make recommendations to the Education Committee or the Board on all aspects of curriculum implementation in the District. This authority shall include, but not be limited to: the rate of introduction of the new curriculum; the timing of the introduction of the new curriculum; the inservice activities needed to prepare teachers; the materials which may be needed to introduce the courses; the funding of the implementation process.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION a. The District and Association agree that: i. The district core curriculum must provide clear direction for teachers, consistent opportunities to learn for all students, and support the acquisition of 21st Century skills, as defined by our state and district standards; ii. Teachers personalize and adapt lessons and materials to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure growth and achievement of learning targets; iii. Flexibility is embedded in classroom strategies that the teacher selects to ensure acquisition of key concepts and skills; and iv. Teachers use best instructional practices as defined by the Tahoma instructional model (CEL 5D+) as they make instructional strategy choices in a lesson or unit. b. To effectively implement the Future Ready vision, the district will create structures and use strategies to ensure teacher voice in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation. The following structures support this vision: i. A cross-building team or teams of teacher leaders, administrators, and Teaching & Learning coaches will provide input annually on the three-year district planning process; ii. The Association shall be informed of and given the option of adding a representative to all mutually identified committees impacting the instruction system. These committees shall be identified at monthly Labor Management meetings; iii. The Association will designate members to meet with District leaders of Teaching and Learning on a regular basis to review, monitor and provide input into District instructional decisions; iv. Pacing guides and frameworks will reflect time allocations for differentiation, student assessment and building events; v. After initial implementation, curriculum revisions will be guided by feedback from teacher teams and student growth and achievement data; vi. The District will use the curriculum documentation process in Addendum 14; and vii. The District and the Association shall review Section C, District Teaching and Learning Decisions, as a standing topic at each Labor Management meeting to monitor and ensure authentic implementation of this Section.

CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. Teaching/learning advisory team will establish standard year 1 and year 2 implementation expectations for new curriculum. • Teaching/learning advisory group will review the long term curriculum adoption/implementation plan. • Administrators or team leads will have access to new curriculum as soon as is possible to prepare for implementation. • Teacher and administrator surveys will be utilized to receive feedback on new curriculum. • Similarities/differences between prior and new curriculums will be highlighted during professional development. • The District will prioritize professional development time around new curriculum implementation. • Both the Association and the District will encourage teachers and school leaders to communicate openly with each other in order to address issues and concerns. • SEL Training Initiative– will include empathic listening skills as a component to improve school culture for effective communication. • District and PEA leadership will meet quarterly to discuss concerns including workload topics that impact educators. • The District will allocate K12 leadership meeting time to focus on effective ways to identify and address staff concerns.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. 1. When new curriculum is being introduced to the School District, the Board will seek input from teachers, through a variety of Ad Hoc Committees, the makeup of which will depend upon the nature of the curriculum and grade levels involved. Teachers who serve on the various Ad Hoc Committees shall be appointed by the Union. 2. All recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee will be considered and responses to the recommendations will be provided to the Ad Hoc Committee members.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. 1. When new curriculum is being introduced to the District, it shall be the responsibility of the Board and the Association to strike a joint committee that shall make recommendations to the Board and the Association.
