After Use. Check Make sure all the chairs and tables are put back into the storage closet in a safe and orderly fashion and that all furnishings in the room are put back the way they were found. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE PIANOS! Please make sure the Facilities that you use are left in a clean and organized condition in which they were found. If you have used the kitchen, please make sure that floors, all equipment, utensils, dishes, sink, stove etc. that you have used are left in a clean and orderly condition in which they were found. Put all refuse in proper recycling, trash, or landfill receptacles. Cart away any refuse unable to fit in recycling, trash or landfill bins provided. Turn off all inside lights. Leave one set of outside lights (switches are in center of lobby hallway) if you leave after dark. Make sure all windows and all doors are locked before you leave the Facilities, including the door to the Valley, West Rooms and the doors leading outside. Before you leave, put keys through the lower door slot of the Valley Resource Center office. Lock yourself out of the building.
After Use. Please leave all rooms you have hired clear, clean and tidy. If you require a vacuum cleaner, brush or dustpan these can be found in the ground floor disabled toilet cupboard or on the first floor hallway. Please switch off all lights and fans for the rooms you have hired. Chairs should be returned to their original location and stacked no more than five high. Any tables used from the storeroom should be returned after use. This does not apply to the chairs in the church itself (see below). If you are the last group to leave (the bookings sheet for the week is on the board near the front door), check the whole building to make sure no-one gets locked in, then drop the latch and lock the front door. There is an automatic night-time security light in the foyer. Should you discover that a previous group has left an area untidy or not replaced/ returned furniture please make note of this in the property book in the foyer.

If you have used the Loft kitchen, please make sure that floors, all equipment, utensils, dishes, sink, stove etc. that you have used are left in a clean and orderly condition in which they were found. Put all refuse in proper recycling, trash, or landfill receptacles. Cart away any refuse unable to fit in recycling, trash or landfill bins provided. Turn off all inside lights. Make sure all windows and all doors are locked before you leave the Facilities. Return the keys the next business day to SGVCC, unless other arrangements are made.
After Use. Upon leaving the center, please check each item when completed. Tables Wipe all tables clean before returning to storage (check underneath for gum, food etc.). Return to storage closet (alike tables stacked together, do not mix brown and white, all stacked facing same direction; chairs stacked facing same direction). Kitchen Wash all used utensils, dishes, coffee makers etc. and put back in their proper places. Stove and oven shut off and clean. Clear and wipe down microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal, and counter tops. All used towels & rags need to be cleaned and returned to City Hall or Center within a week. Trash & Recycling Collect trash and put in outside dumpster (located behind the police department). Put new trash bags in all trash cans; can be found in janitor closet or kitchen closet. Put recyclable items in kitchen closet; must be clean; rinse out bottles, jugs etc. Break down boxes. Floor Sweep or dry mop all floors (make sure to get under tables and chairs). Wet mop all floors if dirty, sticky, or slippery. Remove all substances such as gum, black marks, or other materials from floors. Bathrooms Check all bathrooms, clean as needed. If anything is not functional, please let City Hall know. Lights & Fans Make sure all lights & fans throughout facility are turned off. (Outside lights operate automatically). Outside of facility Clean up all trash and debris from sidewalks, parking lot, driveway, landscaping, and lawn. If kids were outside make sure rocks are picked up from parking lot and put back into landscaping. Doors Do not block outside doors open (heating/cooling can be costly and do not want bugs getting in). Wipe down glass doors if needed (paper towels and glass cleaner in janitor closet). Make sure all outside doors are locked.
