ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. It is the continuing policy of the Employer and the Union that the provisions of this Agreement shall be applied to all employees or applicants for employment without regard to race, colour, sex, religious creed, national origin or language.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Company agrees that no employee shall in any manner be discriminated against, coerced, restrained or influenced on account of membership in the Union, or by virtue of holding office in the Union, or by reason of any activity or lack of lawful activity the Union. The Union agrees that neither its officers, members or persons employed directly or indirectly by the Union, shall discriminate or intimidate employees who are not members of the Union. The Company and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, intimidation, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practice with respect to any employee concerning any of the provisions of the Collective Agreement or otherwise by reason of age, race, colour, creed, national origin, religion, political or activity, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, place of residence, physical handicap, nor reason of membership or activity in the Union, nor for any reason prohibited by the Human Rights Legislation.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Corporation and Union agree that there will be no intimidation, discrimination, interference, restraint or coercion exercised or practiced by either of them or by any of their representatives or members because of an employee's membership in the Union or because of her activity in the Union. It is agreed that the Union and the employees will not engage in Union activities during working hours or hold meetings at any time on the premises of the Corporation without the permission of the Department Head or his designate. The Corporation agrees to give Business Agents of Local access to the premises of the Telephone Department for the purpose of attending grievance meetings or otherwise assisting in the administration of this agreement and for the purpose of posting notices on bulletin boards allocated to the union, provided prior arrangements are made with the Administration of the Department. Such Business Agents shall have access to the premises only with the approval of the Administration, which will not be unreasonably withheld.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, restriction or coercion exercised by reason of race, colour, creed, national origin, political or religious affiliation, sex or marital status, age, membership or or activity in the Union. The Employer and the Union agree that no form of sexual harassment shall be condoned in the workplace and it is further agreed that both parties will work together in recognizing and resolving such problems should they arise. Situations involving sexual harassment shall be treated in strict confidence by both the Employer and the Union.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. Each of the parties agrees that there shall be no discrimination or coercion exercised or practised upon any employee covered by this Agreement, because of membership or non-membership in the Association. The Board will recognize three (3) committee members who shall be members of the Bargaining Unit as set out in Article shall notify the Board of the names of its representatives within five (5) days of any change. The representatives have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Board. They will not absent themselves from their regular duties unreasonably in order to deal with grievances or other business. They will not leave their regular duties without receiving permission from the Superintendent of Education Personnel or designate. Such permission to leave will not be unreasonably withheld. In accordance with this understanding the Board will compensate the representatives for their regularly scheduled work time spent in servicing grievances and attending meetings between the parties up to and including Step of the grievance procedure.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. It is agreed that no employee shall be discriminated against because of race, color, creed, religion, nationality, age or sex. The Borough shall not discriminate against or interfere with any employee because of Union activities. The Union, its members and agents, shall not discriminate against or interfere with any employee covered under this agreement who is not a member of the Union.

It is agreed that the Union and the employees will not engage in Union activities during working hours or hold meetings at any time on the premises of the Corporation without the permission of the Department Head or his designate. ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. It is agreed that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, coercion or harassment exercised or practised with respect to any employee by reason of age, creed, race, color, national origin, political or religious affiliation, sex or marital status, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability which does not render an employee incapable of performing assigned duties following reasonable accommodation by the Centre, nor by reason of membership or non-membership or activity in the Alliance. Where, under the Human Rights Code, reasonable accommodation is required to meet employees' special needs, the parties may jointly agree to waive provisions of the agreement in order to achieve such accommodation.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Company, the Associates and the Union agree that there will be no intimidation, discrimination. interference, restriction or coercion exercised or practised because of the exercise of statutory rights and that there will be no Union activity, except as herein provided, on the Company or Associates' premises except with written permission. The Company, the Associates and the Union further agree that there shall be no discrimination against dependent contractors with respect to terms or conditions of employment on the prohibited grounds set out in the Ontario Human Rights Code.
ARTICLE NON DISCRIMINATION. The Employer agrees that he will not discriminate against an employee because of his activity as a member of the Union. Neither the Union nor the Employer in carrying out their obligations under this Agreement shall discriminate because of race, colour, creed, national origin, age, sex, or sexual orientation. Regular working lost by Union representatives in negotiating labour agreements with Management, attending meetings or otherwise carrying on duties of union representatives as permitted by the Employer will be counted as time worked in computing service and attendance records. This time will also be counted as time worked for pay purposes. Part-time employees as defined in Article shall be paid the hourly rate based on the relative value of the work being performed in comparison to the Bargaining Unit positions being The salary schedules set forth in Appendix A shall apply during the term of this Agreement.
