ARTICLE SCOPE. This Agreement shall cover rates of pay, hours of service and working conditions governing the employment by the Company of employees in the bargaining unit. New classifications and wage scales may be added to the bargaining unit from time to time when mutually agreed upon by the Company and the Union.

ARTICLE SCOPE. The scope of this Agreement shall apply to those employees who are regularly employed for hours or more on a bi- weekly basis in the job classifications in Schedule A, forming part of this Agreement or in those classifications established during the lifetime of this Agreement which by their nature should be added to Schedule say and except manager and supervisor, persons above the rank of supervisor, graduate and student dietitian, chef and office staff. The Company agrees that supervisors shall not normally perform work assigned to employees in the bargaining unit except for the purpose of training, instructing, experimenting, safety, and in emergencies. The Sheraton Centre recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusivebargaining agent for all employees who are employed in the Departments listed in Schedule A, save and except, supervisors, persons above the rank of supervisors, coordinators, accounting, security, front desk, reservations, general administration, purchasing, receiving, sales and catering, activity centre, customer service agents, students in a community college hotel management course who work without remuneration for the Company as part of their program of studies and management trainees. ARTICLE SCOPE. The Employer recognizes the Union as the exclusive bargaining agent for a unit of employees of the Employer as outlined in the certification order issued by the Canada Industrial Relations Board, Certification Order dated February with such modifications as are agreed upon and more particularly set out in the attached Schedule Subject to this Agreement, the Employer shall have the exclusive right to operate, manage and run its business affairs including, and without restricting the generality of the foregoing, the right to manage the operations and direct the workforce in the most economic manner possible.
