ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Union shall have the right to appoint or elect a Xxxxxxx and an alternate Xxxxxxx when the regular Xxxxxxx is not available in each yard to assist employees in presenting their grievances to the Employer and supervise the administration of this Agreement. When the Employer has more than one (1) division covered by this Agreement, the Union have the right appoint or elect a reasonable number of Stewards. The Union agrees that it will keep the with a list of Stewards and Officers and any changes that occur. It is understood that a Xxxxxxx'x duties shall in no way conflict with his duties to the Employer, and he shall be held responsible for the same quantity and quality of work as other employees. The Xxxxxxx in each yard will have top seniority in his yard for the purpose of lay-off, daily call-in, and the provision of Article only, and during seasonal lay-offs will be the last man in his classification to be laid-off and the last man to be transferred out of his yard. The Employer agrees to notify the Union in writing ,within two (2) days from the date a Steward is suspended or discharged. The Employer shall not require a Xxxxxxx to settle grievances during working hours without pay. No complaint or grievance may be or considered under the procedure unless it has been presented within five working days the time of occurrence of the incident giving rise lo the grievance. Any differences, disputes or complaints arising over the interpretation, administration or application this Agreement shall be submitted in writing in on forms supplied by the Union arid signed by the employee. The written record of grievance shall state the section or sections of the Agreement which it is alleged have been violated. There shall be an xxxxxxx effort on the part both parties to settle such grievances through the steps:
ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Company the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a reasonable number of Department Stewards to assist employees in presenting their grievances to representatives of the Company. It is clearly understood that Stewards, Union Officers and delegates will not absent themselves from their regular duties unreasonably in order to deal with grievances of employees or with other Union business and that in accordance with this understanding the Company will compensate such employees for time spent in negotiating with the Company, in handling grievances of employees. No more than two (2) employees will be remunerated if elected as delegates to a Union convention (no more than at their regular rate of pay and that this does not apply to time spent on such matters outside of regular working hours.
ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to elect or appoint one (1) Xxxxxxx in each department and/or shift, of which one (1) will be the Chief Xxxxxxx, to assist the employees with the presentation of their grievances. The Chief Xxxxxxx will normally deal on matters which are to be brought to the Company's attention.
ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Board acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a reasonable number of stewards, to be limited to one (1) xxxxxxx for each Department, except in the Nursing Department where the Union may appoint two (2) stewards. Department to mean: Nursing, Kitchen, Housekeeping and Laundry.
ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to elect or appoint Shop Stewards, who shall be employees with at least twelve (12) months seniority with the Company, to deal with matters affecting employees in the bargaining unit. One Xxxxxxx shall be designated as Chief Xxxxxxx. A list of these Stewards shall be supplied to the Employer and any changes that may occur from time to time shall also be supplied.
ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint, or otherwise select, a President, Vice-president and four (4) stewards to assist employees in presenting their grievances. The zone within which each xxxxxxx is to function is set out in Article paragraph
ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Company acknowledges the Union to appoint a maximum of two (2) stewards for the purpose of discussing and adjusting grievances arising out of the interpretation, application or alleged violation of this Agreement. If the Union has a grievance, the Company shall a arrange a meeting with an official of the Union within ten (10) days excluding Saturday and Sunday and Statutory Holidays, from the time that the complaint arose, and shall, if necessary, follow through with a request for arbitration in the manner described under the grievance procedure. The Union will inform the Company, in writing, of the names of the Stewards and any subsequent change in the Stewards.
ARTICLE STEWARDS. The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint one (1) Xxxxxxx for highway drivers and one (1) Xxxxxxx for the city drivers, and, if the operations are such as cannot be covered by these Stewards, additional stewards may be appointed.

In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or select stewards, whose duties shall be to assist an employee whom the xxxxxxx represents in preparing and in presenting a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.
