Bad Weather. The Consultant will take all reasonable steps to mitigate against risk associated with bad weather and the incurring of additional costs as a result. The Consultant shall ensure that operations are undertaken efficiently and effectively to maximise data acquisition time and minimise downtime with due consideration of the quality of the data. In the event that weather conditions are considered to be adversely affecting the quality of the data being collected, the Consultant will contact the Cefas representative for advice on the merits of continuing the survey on any particular day. The Consultant will also keep a daily survey log, which provides some detail of survey activities for each day. This log will include incidents when, and reasons why, survey work did not take place. The Consultant will provide a summary survey log to the Cefas representative on a weekly basis including costs incurred to date to be charged to Cefas.

Bad Weather. 20.3.1 If the Seasonal Worker is excused at the start of the tour due to bad weather, the employee will receive a two (2) hour "show-up" pay. If the Seasonal Worker is excused after thirty (30) minutes of the start of the tour, the minimum payment will be four (4) hours.

In lieu of the notification referred to above, the Employer may provide a toll-free message number, staffed by a live, identifiable person, for Employees to call and receive instructions at least two (2) hours before they are required to report for work.
