Birth Leave. F14.1 Birth leave is available to pregnant employees to enable them to be absent from duty to:
Birth Leave. Upon written request, an employee shall be entitled to Special Leave to attend the birth of his/her child, or his/her spouse’s child. Where an employee has exhausted his/her Special Leave, application may be made under General Leave – Unpaid, or under Vacation if unused vacation days are available.
Birth Leave. At the teacher's discretion, up to ten (10) days of paid leave per pregnancy will be granted to attend the birth of said teacher's child.
Birth Leave. (a) Two (2) days leave of absence with pay shall be granted when an employee's spouse is giving birth to a baby. This two (2) day leave of absence shall be taken within one (1) week from the date of birth.

Birth Leave. F14.4 An employee, other than a casual employee, who is eligible for birth leave and who has completed twelve months of continuous service, including recognised prior service, immediately prior to commencing a period of birth leave, is eligible for paid birth leave.
Birth Leave. 35.01 An employee who is not the birth mother may be granted one (1) day leave with pay to attend to the needs directly related to the birth of the employee’s child. Such leave may be granted on the day of, or the day following the birth or the day of the child’s birth mother’s admission to, or discharge from hospital.
