Charge Pay. Whenever a nurse is assigned additional responsibility to direct, supervisor or oversee work of nurses, and/or be assigned overall responsibility for resident care on the unit, xxxx, or area, for a tour of duty, she/he shall be paid a premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour in addition to her/his regular salary and applicable premium allowance.
Charge Pay. Employees assigned as charge nurse shall receive two dollars and twenty-five cents ($2.25) per hour over the regular staff nurse rate of pay.
Charge Pay. (a) The Employer shall designate a person to be in charge of a unit. Where such person is absent from the unit for a consecutive time period of two hours or more, an alternate will be designated in charge.
(b) When an Employee who holds the position of a Staff Nurse is designated in charge of a unit, such Employee shall be paid an additional $2.00 per hour.
(a) When an Employee is assigned to replace another Employee in a higher paid classification for one full Shift or longer, the Employee shall be paid an additional amount equal to the differential between the beginning rate for the Employee’s classification and the beginning rate for the more senior classification in which the Employee is relieving.
(b) When an Employee is assigned to replace another person in an out-of-scope position at a more senior level for one full Shift or longer the Employee shall be paid an additional $2.00 per hour.
(a) The Employer shall establish a roster on which Employees may indicate their interest in performing preceptor duties. In assigning preceptor duties, the Employer shall first consider the Employees on the roster.
(b) A Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse assigned by the Employer as a preceptor shall receive an additional 65¢ per hour.
(c) Preceptor shall mean a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse who is assigned to supervise, educate or evaluate 4th year Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing students in the absence of a clinical instructor from their educational institution.
Charge Pay. 9.01 Charge Pay shall be paid for the co-ordination of Unit activities on a xxxx, Unit or Facility/Agency.
9.02 Charge Pay referred to in 9.01 above shall be in addition to any other pay so stipulated in other Articles of this Agreement.
9.03 If additional staff are necessary and no registered nurse management personnel are available, the registered nurse designated in charge shall have the authority to call such additional staff subject to criteria established by the Employer in consultation with the registered nurses in the work Unit. In the event the Employer has not established criteria, the registered nurse shall have the authority to call additional staff that in her professional opinion are necessary.
Charge Pay. Nurses who volunteer to work or are otherwise assigned “charge” shall receive a differential of $1.00/hour. This differential shall not be counted when calculating the applicable overtime rate.
Charge Pay. Where the Employer designates a Licensed Practical Nurse to assume responsibility in the absence of the Manager, she shall be paid an additional one dollar and twenty-five ($1.25) cents per hour.
Charge Pay. (a) The Charge Pay Premium will be applicable to an Employee who is employed as, and working in, their professional capacity as a Licensed Practical Nurse; and,
(b) who has been explicitly assigned by an Exempt Supervisor/Manager of the Employer to assume the functional Charge Responsibilities of a Unit.
(c) In recognition of this assignment, the Licensed Practical Nurse assuming these duties shall receive a Charge Pay Premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.
Charge Pay. (a) When an Employee is designated in charge of a clinic, such Employee shall be paid an additional two dollars ($2.00) per hour for all hours worked during such assignment.
(b) The Employer shall provide an initial orientation of at least one full day prior to assigning the Employee in charge and subsequent reorientation as appropriate.
(c) The Employer shall create a roster of Employees who are oriented, interested, and are willing to perform alternate charge duties. When scheduling alternate charge duties, Employees from the roster shall be assigned whenever possible at no increased cost to the Employer. Only Employees who have been oriented to alternate charge duties shall be assigned alternate charge duties, whenever possible.
Charge Pay. A Therapist who is designated to be “In Charge” for four (4) hours or more within a shift shall receive a premium of $3.50 per hour for each hour spent in charge duty.
Charge Pay. The Corporation will assign a Nurse to be in charge of all evening and night shifts, and on the day shift on a Saturday, Sunday and a Paid Holiday. Charge pay shall increase to fifteen dollars ($15.00) per shift. A newly employed Nurse shall not be placed in charge, until she has been fully oriented to the Home, and to the area where she will be working.
