2. Achieve a percentage of pupils in Charter School scoring proficient or advanced on the District’s early literacy writing assessment that is the same as, or higher than, the percentage of pupils scoring proficient or advanced in corresponding grades (five-year-old kindergarten, grade one, and grade two) in all MPS schools as recorded on SPS; and
3. Achieve a percentage of pupils in Charter School scoring proficient or advanced on a school-developed and district-approved mathematics classroom assessment based on standards that is the same as, or higher than, the percentage of pupils scoring proficient or advanced in corresponding grades (five-year-old kindergarten, grade one, and grade two) in all MPS schools as recorded on SPS; and

2. Achieve a percentage of pupils in Charter School scoring proficient or advanced on the Wisconsin State Assessment System tests (WSAS tests) in mathematics that is the same as, or higher than, the percentage of pupils scoring proficient or advanced in corresponding grades in all MPS schools; and
3. Achieve a percentage of pupils in Charter School scoring proficient or advanced on the Wisconsin State Assessment System tests (WSAS tests) in science that is the same as, or higher than, the percentage of pupils scoring proficient or advanced in corresponding grades in all MPS schools; and
4. Achieve a percentage of pupils in Charter School scoring proficient or advanced on the Wisconsin State Assessment System tests (WSAS tests) in social studies that is the same as, or higher than, the percentage of pupils scoring proficient or advanced in corresponding grades in all MPS schools; and
5. Using a DPI formula for comparison, Charter School shall achieve a high school graduation rate that is the same as, or higher than, the high school graduation rate in all MPS high schools; and
6. Achieve a percentage of pupils in Charter School scoring on target or above on the District’s early literacy and/or reading assessment that is the same as, or higher than, the percentage of pupils scoring on target or above in corresponding grades (five-year old kindergarten, grade one and grade two in all MPS schools as recorded on the district data dashboard; and

CHARTER SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITIES. CHARTER shall pay for any costs which in its discretion are deemed necessary, and which comply with external source funding requirements, to operate CHARTER and its educational programs from the revenue it receives pursuant to Article 4. Except as provided herein, or as required by law, the District shall not incur or pay any expense or enter in- to any agreement that relates to providing services to students who attend CHARTER or to the operation and maintenance of CHARTER. CHARTER shall be primarily responsible for communicating with the State Department of Education on matters involving CHARTER. Where the District is obligated to make reports to the State Department of Education on behalf of CHARTER, the District shall notify CHARTER of its reports prior to sending them to the State Department of Education.
CHARTER SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITIES a. The Charter School shall set the hours of service for each SRO per location listed in Exhibit “A” to comply with the ACT.
b. The Charter School shall, to the extent possible, provide the SROs:
i. Access to an air-conditioned and properly lighted private office, which office shall contain a telephone to be used for general purposes.
ii. A location for files and records, which can be properly locked and secured.
iii. A desk with drawers, a chair, worktable, filing cabinet, and office supplies.
iv. Access to a computer/printer and internet service.
c. The Charter School shall have the right to remove an SRO, and Sheriff shall provide a replacement in accordance with Section 2 of this Agreement.
d. The Charter School shall remit monthly payments to BOCC for the costs associated with this Agreement within thirty (30) days of receipt of the BOCC invoice.
