Child Nutrition. A. Responsibility in event of employee absence 1. If a Manager is absent, a designated Worker II assumes responsibility. 2. If a Worker II at a receiving kitchen is absent, a designated Worker I assumes responsibility. B. Evaluations 1. The Director of Child Nutrition Services or his/her designee (supervisory) is the supervisor and is responsible for all evaluations. 2. Managers shall direct the work of Worker Is and IIs at preparation and receiving kitchens, may provide input into the evaluations of those employees and may participate in evaluation conferences of those employees at the request of the Director of Child Nutrition Services or his or her designee (supervisory). NOTE: Managers and Worker IIs may choose not to participate in other employee evaluation conferences. Worker Is and IIs may choose to meet with the Director privately. 3. Worker IIs at receiving kitchens shall direct the work of Worker I’s, may provide input into the evaluation of those employees and may participate in evaluation conferences at the request of the Director of Child Nutrition Services or his or her designee (supervisory). NOTE: Managers and Worker IIs may choose not to participate in other employee evaluation conferences. Worker Is and IIs may choose to meet with the Director privately. 4. Principals and other management employees may participate in evaluation conferences. B. An employee who knows she/he is going to be absent from work the following day shall notify her/his site designee no later than 1:30 pm. If the employee then finds they will be able to return to work, they have an obligation to inform their supervisor at the earliest possible time.
Child Nutrition. Dallas ISD shall provide free breakfast and lunch utilizing the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s school breakfast and lunch programs to all dually-enrolled students in the Dallas ISD prekindergarten program.
Child Nutrition. 1. The District shall post a copy of the District wide Child Nutrition seniority list by 10/01 of each year at every Child Nutrition work site. 2. The District shall post at each Child Nutrition work site Temporary Assignment sign up sheets prior to the first day of school each year. One sign up sheet will be for temporary assignment at the Nutrition Services Center and the other for temporary assignments at school sites. All Child Nutrition Unit members wishing to be considered for temporary assignments shall sign the list no later than the fifth day of each school year. New hires and Unit members on authorized leave shall have the opportunity to sign no later than the fifth day from the day on which they commence or resume service. A copy of the list shall be sent to the Unit President. 3. Assignments which become open on a temporary basis, for more than five working days, due to a Unit member's exercise of leave, shall be offered to the most senior Unit member in the classification, with less assigned hours than those of the temporary assignment, at the site on the Temporary Assignment List. If no one at the site is assigned, the department will go to the District wide Temporary Assignment List for assignment. Unit members accepting such temporary assignments shall serve in that position for as long as the leave giving rise to the opening continues. A Unit member who declines a temporary work assignment shall rotate to the HAYWARD USD AND SEIU LOCAL 1021 (M&O/SAFECO UNIT) 2022 to 2025 AGREEMENT

Child Nutrition. PARTNER shall: a) Implement nutrition services that are culturally and developmentally appropriate, meet the nutritional needs of and accommodate the feeding requirements of each child, including children with special dietary needs and children with disabilities. b) Implement Family style meals. c) Ensure each child received meals and snacks that provide two thirds of the child’s daily nutritional needs. d) Feed infants and toddlers according to their individual developmental readiness and feeding skills as recommended in USDA requirements outlined in 7 CFR parts 210, 220, and 226, are high in nutrients and low in fat, sugar, and salt and ensure infants and young toddlers are fed on demand to the extent possible. e) Ensure bottle-fed infants are never laid down to sleep with a bottle. f) Properly store and handle breast milk and make accommodations, as necessary, for mothers who wish to breastfeed during program hours, and if necessary, provide referrals to lactation consultants or counselors. g) Serve all children who have not received breakfast upon arrival at the program a nourishing breakfast. h) Make safe drinking water available to children during the program day.

  • Wellness i. To support the statewide goal for a healthy and productive workforce, employees are encouraged to participate in a Well-Being Assessment survey. Employees will be granted work time and may use a state computer to complete the survey. ii. The Coalition of Unions agrees to partner with the Employer to educate their members on the wellness program and encourage participation.   • Footwear Where an employee is required by the College or by legislation, in order to perform his/her duties, to acquire and wear protective footwear, the employee shall provide the College with proof of purchase by March 1 each year and the College shall reimburse such employee, on the first pay day in April in each year, up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollar ($150.00). In situations other than the foregoing, the College may, in its discretion, (which discretion shall not be unreasonably exercised) reimburse such expense where it is recommended by the health and safety committee constituted under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
