Evaluation Conferences. Following each formal evaluation, which shall include a conference with the evaluator, the bargaining unit member shall sign and be given a copy of the evaluation report prepared by the evaluator. In no case shall the bargaining unit member's signature be construed to mean that he/she necessarily agrees with the contents of the evaluation. A bargaining unit member may submit additional comments to the written evaluation if he/she so desires. All written evaluations are to be placed in the bargaining unit member's personnel file. At the completion of the probationary period, an evaluation of the bargaining unit member's work shall be completed, following the procedures of this provision.

The discussion may either precede or follow the writing of the evaluation report. If a teacher requests a conference with the evaluator within five (5) school days of receipt of the formal written evaluation, the principal shall hold a conference with the teacher within ten (10) school days of such request unless illness prevents such conference. In such event, the conference shall be held as soon as practicable.
