Committee Functions. The function of the Health Care Committees shall be to discuss matters of mutual concern to the parties, but it is understood and agreed that the Committees will not discuss grievances.
Committee Functions. Where the Board directs an employee who is a member of the district or school health and safety committee to perform a district or school health and safety committee function during the school day, the Board will provide release time necessary to permit the employee to perform that function.
Committee Functions. (a) To investigate, monitor, inspect, identify, review health and safety conditions and practices and recommend corrective actions to eliminate health and safety hazards.
(b) To act in accordance and comply with the JHSC responsibilities and powers under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), The Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Health and Safety policies, safety guidelines and standards as recommended by the CSA, ACGIH, NIOSH, ACE and any applicable section of the Environmental Protection Act.
(c) Participate in various Health and Safety sub groups as required (i.e. Ergonomic Team, etc.).
(d) Discuss and review the application of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Occupational Health and Safety Manual on Policies and Procedures and the Ontario Occupation Health & Safety Act and regulations as applicable to the hotel industry.
(e) Receive and discuss a monthly summary of occupational (work-related) incidents/accidents, including location of accident, area of injury, type of accident, brief description.
(f) Make recommendations, based on consultation and information, for corrective action to the Employer on all required JHSC legislated duties, Fairmont Royal York Health and Safety policies, safety concerns and identified hazards.
(g) Participate in determining Health and Safety monitoring requirements and selection of qualified Health and Safety consultants (i.e. training).
(h) Request and review the WSIB’s Annual Summary of accident statistic as defined under section 12 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
(i) The JHSC will also discuss and recommend health and safety programs for all Fairmont Royal York employees. The Employer will pay the cost of all approved programs.
(j) Review requested changes to procedures or policies.
(k) The JHSC may make recommendation for related training. The Employer will pay the related cost of such training when approved. The Employer will not unreasonably deny the JHSC’s recommendation for training its members, which may include reasonable use of the Workers’ Health and Safety Centre.
Committee Functions. The Committee will perform the following primary functions:
(A) The Committee will recommend minimum health and safety standards regarding working conditions to the Director of Public Works.
(B) The Committee will recommend appropriate training programs on safety.
(C) The Committee will be empowered to make recommendations on safety issues.
(D) The Committee will function as an Accident Review Board. The Committee will have the authority to investigate accidents and make appropriate recommendations.
(E) At no time will the Committee have authority to alter, modify, amend, vacate, supersede or change any terms or conditions of this Agreement.
Committee Functions. (i) The Committee shall review all claims for benefits under this Article on a monthly basis to ensure such claims are properly administered in accordance with the provisions of this Article. The Committee shall also review the year to date record of absenteeism for sickness of all Employees at such meetings.
(ii) It is understood and agreed that the Committee has been established to ensure that the benefits of Article 11 are not abused. In order to ensure the Committee's success, the Committee will have the authority to modify, alter, discontinue, or disallow benefits, or amend the eligibility requirements for Salary Continuance Benefits with respect to any claim or claims it deems such action is appropriate.
(iii) The Committee, in conjunction with the Health Professional and the Employee’s own Doctor, shall recommend and approve any necessary action to ensure the early rehabilitation of an affected Employee.
(iv) The Committee shall, in individual cases, establish specific criteria for Employees to meet when requesting benefits under this Article.
(v) It shall also be a function of the Committee to advise the Parties of their “Duty to Accommodate”. It is understood and agreed that the Company and the Union shall meet to discuss and mutually agree on the conditions applying to any Employee referred to the Parties by the Committee in accordance with the above.

Committee Functions. It shall be the function of the Joint Safety Committee to:
1. Recommend improvements in safety, sanitation and health conditions affecting the employees.
2. Investigate the cause of industrial accidents and compensable industrial illness.
Committee Functions. (a) The Committee shall meet, discuss, and seek to reach consensus on actions in accordance with the following license provisions;
(i) Lake Oroville Warm Water Fishery Habitat Improvement Program, Article A110
(ii) Lake Oroville Cold Water Fishery Improvement Program, Article A111
(iii) Construction and Recharge of Brood Ponds, Article A122
(iv) Invasive Plant Management, Article A126

1.5.2. The Committee will review the initial classification and intake forms for accuracy.
1.5.3. The Committee will ensure that GBTI inmates understand that housing in the GBTI unit is one of many housing options and that SBSD is committed to ensuring their safety throughout the facility, regardless of whether they opt to be housed in the GBTI unit or general population. SBSD shall take steps discussed with Plaintiffs’ counsel to improve safety throughout the facility, including in general population and during transport, so GBTI inmates are safe in general population and any other housing or location. Potential changes could include housing GBTI individuals in general population cells closest to front the front of units where most accessible and visible to deputies and custodial assistants, managing blind spots, increased cameras and other steps that effectively counter risk of assault.
1.5.4. The Committee will ensure that GBTI inmates are fully informed of their housing options, available programming, and work assignments.
1.5.5. The Committee will formally discuss, evaluate, and make decisions on inmate housing assignments. The Committee will take into consideration any specific request from the GBTI inmate to ensure they feel safe and fully understand the consequences of a specific housing location. The inmate request will not be dispositive but will be given serious weight.
1.5.6. The Committee will identify the most appropriate housing location for transgender and intersex inmates. The housing assessment will be individualized and gender identity will be taken into consideration. Housing based upon and consistent with gender identity will be discussed and evaluated as a housing option.
1.5.7. The Committee will also discuss and manage issues of searches, shower privacy, transition-related care as discussed in Section 7. The parties will work together to create a form that will capture information about the person’s gender identity, appropriate name and pronoun, preferences as to the gender of the person(s) who search them, housing preferences, and cellmate preferences, if any.
