Compensation for Sick Leave. Employees will receive pay at their normal base rate for any sick leave taken. However, employees shall not be paid for any accrued but unused sick leave upon termination of employment and/or resignation.
Compensation for Sick Leave. Eligible employees will receive pay at their normal rate of pay for any sick leave taken. New employees who are absent during their probationary period due to illness, disability or any other reason that would qualify for sick leave under this section, will not be compensated. No employee will receive pay instead of sick leave under any circumstances, and employees will not be paid for any accrued but unused sick leave upon termination of employment, unless authorized by the County's retirement contract with PERS.
Compensation for Sick Leave shall be the same as the compensation the employee would have received had the employee not taken sick leave.
Compensation for Sick Leave a. Unit members who are unable to work because of illness or injury shall receive full salary for the number of their accumulated days of sick leave.
b. After all accumulated sick leave has been used, unit members who are still unable to work shall receive up to five (5) months the difference between their pay and the amount actually paid to the substitute assigned to their position or, if no substitute is employed, the amount which would have been paid if one had been employed.
Compensation for Sick Leave. Full-time sick leave will be paid at the employee's current rate at eight (8) hours straight time per day. Sick leave for part-time employees will be paid at the rate of four (4) hours per day at their current rate of pay.
Compensation for Sick Leave. 1. For sick leave referred to in section 2, Employees are entitled to the fol- lowing:
a) A salary in accordance with section 1 without any reductions if the total number of sick leave days in a calendar year does not exceed 60;
b) 75% of the salary determined in section 1 for the number of sick leave days that exceed 60 in a calendar year; and
Compensation for Sick Leave. A unit member on sick leave shall be paid as follows:
a. First, full salary (or full hourly rate for adult school) for that period of his/her absence covered by his/her current and accumulated sick leave; and
b. Second, the difference in pay between full salary (or full hourly rate for adult school) and the day-to-day substitute rate for that position (but not less than fifty percent of the unit members daily rate) for any days remaining after current and accumulated sick leave have been expended, but before the 100 working day period defined below has elapsed. This shall be known as sick leave difference pay.
(1) The 100 working day period of sick leave difference pay shall begin immediately after the exhaustion of the current and accumulated sick leave.
(2) A unit member shall be paid sick leave difference pay for up to 100 work days for all absences during the school year necessitated by illness or injury after he/she has exhausted all current and accumulated sick leave. The 100 working day period is renewed each school year, but unused days from one year shall not carry over into the next.
(3) Five school months shall be considered as 100 working days.
Compensation for Sick Leave. Faculty are compensated for sick leave as follows:
14.4.1 Compensation for all sick leave to which the faculty member is entitled is paid first, based on the assigned work schedule and FTE workload.
14.4.2 When sick leave is depleted, fifty percent (50%) of the regular compensation to which the faculty member is entitled will be paid, not to exceed five (5) months.
a. The total extended sick leave and any other paid or unpaid leaves used by an employee, for any reason, may not exceed one year unless approved by the Superintendent/President on a case-by- case basis.
Compensation for Sick Leave. Compensation for use of sick leave shall be the same as the Employee’s regular rate of pay. An Employee’s sick leave compensation per diem shall not be greater than the Employee’s daily per diem.
Compensation for Sick Leave. The Board will pay all employees who have reached a maximum of 240 accumulated sick days, for unused sick leave days in excess of 240 days at the end of each contract year at the rate of $30 per day. The Board shall include these payments annually in the paycheck issued on July 20th, and any accumulated unused sick leave days compensated under this provision shall not be carried over to the following year.
