Compensation for Temporary Assignments. (a) When a non-exempt employee is temporarily assigned to perform normal and routine duties and assume the responsibilities of a non-exempt job in a classification higher than his/her regular classification for a period of two (2) or more consecutive hours in a day, he/she shall receive pay at a percentage step of the higher classification for all hours worked in the higher classification equal to the percentage step of his/her present classification. Said assignments shall normally be made in writing by the area Supervisor prior to the assumption of said duties and responsibilities. Hours worked, as defined above, shall be exclusive of holiday, vacation and/or disability leave. (b) When a non-exempt employee is temporarily assigned to perform normal and routine duties and assume the responsibilities of an exempt position for a period of two (2) or more consecutive hours in a day, he/she shall receive a $5.00 per hour increase in his/her normal rate of pay for all hours worked in said assignment. Said assignments shall normally be made in writing, by the appropriate Sector Manager, prior to the assumption of said duties and responsibilities. Hours worked, as defined above, shall be exclusive of holiday, vacation and/or disability leave. (c) When an employee is temporarily assigned to work in a classification lower than his/her regular classification (this does not include a demotion), he/she shall be paid his/her regular base rate. (d) If two (2) or more linemen are called out on trouble outside of normal working hours and work together two (2) or more consecutive hours, the employee with classification seniority will assume responsibility and receive Working Xxxxxxx'x pay for the hours worked together.

Compensation for Temporary Assignments. Employees who are temporarily assigned to a job classification in a higher pay grade than their regular job classification other than Heavy Vehicle Operator Driver, shall be paid for all hours worked in such higher pay grade beginning with the first day worked, at either five percent (5%) above their regular rate of pay or the minimum rate for the higher pay grade, whichever is greater, provided the Personnel Officer has determined that all of the following conditions are satisfied: (a) The position to be filled temporarily is an authorized budgeted position. (b) There is no incumbent in the position or the incumbent is absent from duty, the position or temporarily reassigned. (c) The assigned employee meets the minimum qualifications for the classification. (d) The assigned employee is able to perform all the normal duties expected of a person occupying that position. (e) When such person, in an acting position, is asked to work overtime in a position other than the acting role, the employee shall be paid at time and one-half their current acting pay level. (f) Employees selected for compensation under this Article must be eligible for the rank of Firefighter Lieutenant. Selection will come from the rank order list first. After the list is exhausted, employees meeting the minimum qualifications for the classification may be used. (g) The Chief of Fire & Rescue Services shall select employees for temporary assignments after the list has been exhausted or if a list does not exist. If the Chief of Fire & Rescue Services select an employee for temporary assignment after the list has been exhausted or if a list does not exist, then this Article is not subject to the grievance or appeal procedures contained in Article 19. (h) Employees designated as heavy vehicle operator drivers, in an acting capacity will be reimbursed additional pay for equal to the proportionate share of the $1,000 HVO pay.
Compensation for Temporary Assignments. When an Employee works on another job on a temporary basis, he shall be compensated for the entire shift at the higher of his regular rate or the rate of the job to which he is temporarily assigned. This section shall not be construed to apply to Employees whose regular job duties include the relief of other Employees for short periods of time which do not exceed thirty (30) minutes for each occurrence during the basic workday. For such relief periods, however, the Employee providing relief shall be paid the higher rate.
Compensation for Temporary Assignments. A regular employee who is temporarily assigned to work in another classification within a department (except Food Service Department) or in a position in another department shall receive the substitute rate of pay for such classification or position for the hours which he works. However, the employee shall not be paid less than his regular rate of pay for said temporary assignments.

  • Temporary Assignment All MBUs who are District-initiated transfers or returning from leave of absence of more than one year may be temporarily assigned to positions other than posted vacancies, including substitute teacher positions, until they can be placed in a vacancy for which they are qualified. Such MBUs shall be placed in the first available vacancy for which they are qualified.

  • Employees on Long Term Supply Assignments Employees completing long term supply assignments may only access sick leave and short term disability leave in the fiscal year in which the allocation was provided. Any remaining allocation may be used in subsequent long term supply assignments, provided these occur within the same fiscal year. Employees employed in a Long Term Supply Assignment which is less than the ordinary period of employment for the position shall have their sick leave and short term disability allocations pro-rated accordingly. Where the length of the long term supply assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/short term disability leave to occur. If a change is made to the length of the assignment, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively.

  • Assignment Termination This Agreement may not be assigned or transferred in any manner by any party without the consent of all parties receiving or rendering services hereunder; provided that LPL may assign this Agreement upon consent of Client in accordance with the Advisers Act. In addition, LPL may add or replace the IAR servicing the Account without Client consent. This Agreement may be terminated by any party effective upon receipt of written notice to the other parties (“Termination Date”). LPL will deliver securities and funds held in the Account as instructed by Client unless Client requests that the Account be liquidated. LPL will initiate instructions to deliver funds and/or securities within two weeks of Client’s written request. If the Account is liquidated as a result of a termination notice, LPL will have a period of 72 hours to begin liquidations unless special circumstances apply. Proceeds will be payable to Client upon settlement of all transactions in the Account. Client will be entitled to a prorated refund of any pre-paid quarterly Account Fee based upon the number of days remaining in the quarter after the Termination Date. Client understands and agrees that after the Termination Date, the Account may be converted to a brokerage account at LPL. In a brokerage account, Client is charged a commission for each transaction and the IAR has no responsibility to provide ongoing investment advice. If this Agreement terminates, and the Account converts to a brokerage account, Client hereby authorizes and directs LPL to implement the insured cash account as the sweep option for the brokerage account, as discussed more fully below. If the Account is closed within the first six months by Client or as a result of withdrawals which bring the Account value below the required minimum, LPL reserves the right to retain the pre-paid quarterly Account Fee for the current quarter in order to cover the administrative cost of establishing the Account which may include costs to transfer positions into and out of the Account, data entry costs to open the Account, costs associated with reconciling of positions in order to issue quarterly performance information, and the cost of re-registering positions. In the case of an Account held by an individual, this Agreement shall terminate upon death of Client; provided, however, that LPL’s authority under this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect until such time as LPL has been notified otherwise in writing by the authorized representative of Client or Client’s estate. Termination of the Agreement will not affect the liabilities or obligations of the parties from transactions initiated prior to termination.

  • Benefits of Agreement; Assignment The terms and provisions of this Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties hereto and their respective successors, assigns, representatives, heirs and estate, as applicable. This Agreement shall not be assignable by ALPS without the express written consent of the Trust. Any purported assignment in violation of the immediately preceding sentence shall be void and of no effect.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Assignment, Etc The Holder may assign or transfer this Note to any transferee at its sole discretion. This Note shall be binding upon the Company and its successors and shall inure to the benefit of the Holder and its successors and permitted assigns.
