Conversion at Death. In the event an employee’s death is a result of illness or injury sustained in the performance of his or her regular duties, the employee’s spouse or estate shall be paid the employee’s accrued but unused sick leave to a maximum of one thousand (1,000) hours.

Conversion at Death. In the case of the death of an employee, the unused vacation leave to the credit of such employee shall be paid to the deceased employee’s spouse, or to the estate of employee. Employees shall be required to provide written documentation as to their beneficiary for the purposes of this section.
Conversion at Death. Employees who die shall be considered to have terminated their employment as of the date of their death, and shall be eligible for such sick leave payment for which they would otherwise qualify under this article. To qualify for such payment, such deceased employee shall have had, prior to the date of death, ten (10) years of continuous service with Tuscarawas County, and have been eligible to receive PERS benefits prior to death. Such payment shall be made in accordance with ORC 2113.04 or paid to the employee’s estate.

During a four (4) day, ten (10) hour schedule, 7 it shall be at the Engineer’s discretion to determine an observed holiday (Article 14, Section 8 2). 10 Section 24.3. Holiday Pay Full-time employees shall be paid for eight (8) hours at their 11 straight time hourly rate for each of the holidays listed in Section 1 above when no work is 12 performed on such holiday. Pay on Holiday Any work performed by an employee on any one of the 16 days listed in Section 1 shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) the straight time 17 rate in addition to the holiday pay.

A notice of automatic resignation shall be sent by certified mail to the employee's last known address.
