COPE. The Employer agrees to deduct and transmit to SEIU Healthcare Minnesota, COPE contributions on a per pay period basis from the wages of those employees who voluntarily authorize such deductions on the forms provided for that purpose by SEIU Healthcare Minnesota. These transmittals shall occur monthly and shall be accompanied by a list of the names of those employees for whom such deductions have been made and the amount deducted for each employee. The Employer shall have no liability in administering these provisions either to the employees or the Union.
COPE. The Employer agrees to deduct from the pay of those members who individually request it voluntary contributions of the SEIU COPE Fund. The Union shall notify the Employer of the per pay period amount that is to be deducted. Such amounts shall be remitted to the Union every pay period.
COPE. The Employer agrees to deduct from the pay of those employees who individually request voluntary contributions to the SEIU 73 C.O.P.E.
COPE. (Committee on Political Education) Deductions-The University shall honor separate additional voluntary deduction authorizations for the Union’s Political Action Committee (CWA-COPE). The standard form to be used following the execution of this Agreement shall be attached as Appendix C.2 to this Agreement.
4.1 UNM will remit the authorized amount upon a properly executed written authorization on the approved form. Such authorization must be submitted 10 days prior to the beginning of the pay period for which the action is to become effective. If the employee does not receive pay sufficient to support a deduction in any pay period, UNM will not be required to retroactively deduct in any subsequent pay period. It is specifically understood and agreed that UNM assumes no obligation, financial or otherwise, arising out of the provisions of this Article, and CWA agrees that it will indemnify and hold UNM harmless for any claims, judgments, actions, or proceedings made or brought by any employee covered under the CWA Bargaining Agreement arising from deductions made by UNM pursuant to this Article or the expenditure of such funds by CWA. After deductions are remitted to the Union, the disposition thereof shall be the sole and exclusive obligation and responsibility of CWA. It is further understood and agreed that UNM’s performance under this Agreement is not an endorsement of any expenditure on the part of CWA. Employees may revoke the COPE deduction at any time. Such revocation must contain the employee’s signature. It is the employee’s responsibility to submit the original to the Union. The Union will sign the document and have the employee submit the request to the Payroll Office.
4.2 An employee shall specify the amount, if any, of additional authorizations for the CWA- COPE program.
4.3 All funds collected and distributed to the Union as dues deductions shall not be co- mingled with any funds collected and distributed to the Union as CWA-COPE deductions.
COPE. The Company will deduct COPE contributions upon receipt of the signed authorizations of the individual employees, and shall pay over to the Union monthly the total amount of COPE contributions deducted.
COPE. The University shall provide a payroll deduction for employees who wish to voluntarily contribute to COPE “Committee for Political Education”. Such deductions shall be made based upon signed authorization cards, and shall be deducted each month. Such deductions will be shown on the employee’s earning statement. The Employer will forward a separate check to the Union for such COPE deduction.
COPE. If an employee agrees in writing to make voluntary Committee on Political Education (COPE) or voluntary life insurance offered by the Union contribution, on a form approved by both the Union and SunLine, then SunLine will deduct such amounts from payroll and remit to the Union in the same manner as the dues deduction herein.
COPE. SECTION 1. The Employer will deduct voluntary contributions to the Committee on Political Education (COPE) from the pay of an Employee upon receipt from the Union of an individual written authorization card voluntarily executed by the Employee.
SECTION 2. The contribution amount will be certified to the Employer by the Union. Monies deducted shall be remitted to the Union within thirty (30) days of the date they are deducted. The payment shall be accompanied by an alphabetical list of the names of those Employees for whom a deduction was made and the amount of the deduction. This list must be separate from the list of Employees who had Union
COPE. The District agrees to deduct and transmit to SEIU COPE such sums from the wages of employees who voluntarily authorize such deduction on the forms provided for that purpose by the Union. The transmittal shall be accomplished by a list of the names of the employees from who such deduction have been made and the amount deducted from each employee. The rate of deduction may be adjusted once each calendar year. However, an employee may request termination of the deduction in its entirety, in writing, at any time during the year. It is understood that such withholdings will be transmitted at the same time as the employees’ dues withholdings.
COPE. The Employer agrees to deduct and transmit to S.E.I.U. Local 113 COPE contributions on a per pay period basis from the wages from those employees who voluntarily authorize such contributions on the forms provided for that purpose by S.E.I.U. Local 113. These transmittals shall occur monthly and shall be accompanied by a list of the names of those employees for whom such deductions have been made and the amount deducted for each employee.
