Database Administration. 4.5.1 Within the scope of Database Administration EXASOL monitors performance trends in the data base and reports them to the Customer on a regular basis (e.g. monthly). In addition, EXASOL analyses performance issues in the Cluster, which are not recognized as errors according to Sec. 3.2.1, and provides the Customer with suggestions for improvement. Such effort is limited to one man-day per month. EXASOL may undertake additional effort within the scope of the consulting portfolio. 4.5.2 EXASOL requires access to the system tables in the data base through a special data base user. This user only has access to the system tables and statistic system tables. Thus, a direct access to the data tables of the data base is excluded. 4.5.3 Database Administration Times correspond to the Service Times according to Sec. 1.2.
Database Administration. Customer is responsible to administer the agreed upon database(s) associated with on premise Covered Software, including hardware and software components, in accordance with the Documentation, which administration shall include, monitoring the database server, backing up electrical power sources, and configuring and administering of database schema, application interfaces, networking operating system, communications, and file transfer software. Customer is responsible to maintain database files (e.g., truncate, cleanup, and delete files consistent with industry standard practices) and perform regular data backup and data archiving.

Supplier’s responsibilities in this regard include: (i) Performing logical database design for Supplier-developed applications; (ii) Performing physical database design for development and test databases; (iii) Performing database tuning for test and development environments; (iv) Performing SQL tuning; (v) Managing and cleaning the database audit trail and archive logs in development and test environments; (vi) Performing database monitoring for development and test environments; (vii) Performing database security administration for development and test environments, including managing role and user database permissions in accordance with Health Net policies; (viii) Ensuring data integrity and implementing corrections; (ix) Performing database support activities for development and test environments, including: (A) Managing database availability and resources; (B) Managing database space (allocated and used); (C) Performing day-to-day operational database capacity planning and performance tuning; (D) Performing physical database maintenance (including running of appropriate utilities, jobs, and working problems/updates to existing jobs as required); (E) Performing data loads and unloads as required; (F) Monitoring the size of physical database objects; (G) Performing database reorganization, including to improve performance and reclaim space; and (H) Performing grants, revokes, synonyms and aliases. (x) Providing physical DBMS support for development and test application databases; (xi) Executing and completing imports for data restores in development and test environments; (xii) Creating new databases and objects in development and test environments; (xiii) Performing schema changes in development and test environments (e.g. creation, alteration, and deletion of tables and indices, compilation and dropping of stored procedures and triggers); (xiv) Establishing and maintaining database configuration and system parameters in a consistent manner across like database development and test environments; (xv) Executing processes for the proper maintenance and functioning of development and test databases, e.g. updating table/index statistics, dropping and rebuilding tables/indices, etc.; (xvi) Determining development and test database reorganization requirements, schedule and run reorg...
Database Administration. The DISTRICT will manage and administer the System database records containing the information related to inventory, configuration, programming history, software version control, subscriber unit IDs, service levels, statistical usage analysis, etc. for USER’s subscriber radios used on the System. The DISTRICT is not making any representations or warranties with regard to the database administration.
Database Administration. ACS will provide the database administration support Services and activities associated with the maintenance and support of existing and future database (e.g. MS SQL server, FoxPro, IMS, DB2, etc.). This includes responsibility for managing data, namely data set placement, database performance, and data recovery and integrity at a physical level. Implement physical database design, create indices and make recommendations on methods to optimize application performance. g. Maintain and upgrade the automated monitoring tools as reasonably required to monitor database performance. h. Monitor database performance and database space utilization. Review, comment on, assess potential impacts from, and implement reasonable modifications requested by Avis subject to equal treatment of the customers. i. Maintain database definitions for the Systems and make such definitions available to Avis upon request. j. Implement database backup procedures as necessary to recover from a database outage or a corrupt database. k. Develop, test, document and maintain database standards as necessary to meet Avis's reasonable business requirements. l. Identify and suggest product and enhancement opportunities for improved performance or functionality. Implement such solutions at Avis's reasonable request. These opportunities will utilize WizCom's standard change control methodology for investigation and implementation.

This includes responsibility for managing data (e.g., data set placement, database performance, and data recovery and integrity) at a physical level.
