DAY WORKER. A day worker is an employee who is assigned to a job which is scheduled for eight (8) hours (with a twenty minute paid lunch period between the hours 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.) between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

DAY WORKER. An employee who during the period of such recreation leave would have worked on day work only - an allowance calculated at the rate of 17.5% of his/her normal salary plus, where applicable, any higher duty allowance or all purpose payment payable to the employee concerned.
DAY WORKER. A Day Worker’s ordinary hours is exclusive of meal breaks.

DAY WORKER. 16.2.1 A day worker who is given notice to work overtime immediately following normal hours, which is cancelled prior to the employee commencing that overtime, shall be paid a minimum of one hour's ordinary pay for that overtime. Where the employee has commenced working overtime, they will receive a minimum of one hour’s pay at double time. 16.2.2 A day worker who is called in with less than ten hours notice will be paid a nine hour penalty, which includes payment for the first hour worked, then double time for each additional hour worked. A day worker called in with less than ten hours notice will not work in excess of eight hours. 16.2.3 A day worker who is given at least ten hours notice to work overtime immediately preceding a normal work day, will be paid at double time for those overtime hours.
DAY WORKER. A day worker shall not be required to work in excess of 5 hours without a break for a meal. Provided the 5 hours may be extended to 6 hours due to an operational requirement or by agreement with the employee concerned. The meal breaks shall be unpaid.
DAY WORKER. An employee who works for the Corporation one shift per day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except the 4 Plex/Arenas which is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p. m.
