DRAFTSMAN. In construing this Agreement, neither of the parties hereto shall have any term or provision of this Agreement construed against such party solely by reason of such party having drafted same as each provision of this Agreement is deemed by the parties to have been jointly drafted by the Company and the Employee.

DRAFTSMAN. Three years of electrical substation and transmission line drafting experience preferred, but not required*, in the development of schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, general arrangement drawings, steel details and site plans, plan and profile drawings and hardware assemblies. Must be able to prepare finished drawings from preliminary designs, sketches, verbal instructions and other direct engineering information. Must be proficient in the use of various computer programs and in particular, CAD programs. Must have successfully completed (equivalent C or better) at least 30 credit hours** at an accredited college or university in a curriculum leading to an engineering or drafting technology, or equivalent degree. Courses must include mathematics at a trigonometry level or higher (1 course), CAD (two courses), drafting (1 course), and technical engineering (1 course). Course requirements waived with three (3) years of Ameren employee CAD Operator experience and proven expertise in drafting. The most senior candidate with the above skills and abilities will be awarded the position if filled. *Employees must successfully complete a six (6) month probationary period if they do not have the previously mentioned work experience. Employees who do not successfully complete the probationary period will be returned to their previous job. **If an employee has successfully completed the modules in the IBEW Local 51 Engineering Representative Training Program through Step 7, this will be accepted in lieu of the 30 credit hours and/or CAD Operator experience. However, the employees must complete the required courses in mathematics at a trigonometry level or higher (1 course), CAD (two courses), drafting (1 course), and technical engineering (1 course).
DRAFTSMAN. An employee who, under general direction prepares sketches, diagrams, single line job drawings and system maps. Make masters for job drawings and maps including operation and care of blueprint or other duplicating equipment. May assist in field work related to the foregoing and must possess a valid State Driver's License.
DRAFTSMAN. The Parties acknowledge that each has had access to independent legal counsel prior to entering into this Agreement and has actively participated in drafting this Agreement. In no event shall the rule of construction against a person causing an uncertainty to exist, including California Civil Code Section 1654, be applied in construing or interpreting this Agreement.
DRAFTSMAN. An employee who is training for advancement to Senior Draftsman and under general direction uses computer-aided drafting skills to prepare sketches, diagrams, single line job drawings, job maps and when required, makes field checks in connection with such maps. Interprets and maps verbal and written instructions, rough sketches, and data collected by Engineers, Planners, Estimators or Surveyors. Consults standard maps of cities, subdivision plats, railroads and highways in connection with the preparation of new maps for plotting distribution lines and facilities. Reproduces maps and revises maps as changes occur and maintains up-to-date distribution maps of Electric and Gas systems. From data provided, prepares base maps for job drawings. May engage in the operation and care of printers, plotters, copy machines and miscellaneous minor maintenance of equipment. May assist in occasional reducing of field survey notes and field checking. May be required to make mechanical and architectural drawings. May perform clerical work related to the Drafting Department. Performs other related duties as may be required by the Supervisor. The employee must possess an aptitude for the work, a working knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and mathematics, including geometry. Some knowledge of utility operation is desirable. May be required to pass an oral or written examination or performance test covering these qualifications. 8380 *DRAFTSMAN, LAND An employee who, under the supervisor, assembles preliminary information and does automated drafting, and general mapping work in connection with the acquisition of Rights-of-Way, composes legal descriptions,, searches County records, and processes other necessary forms for the granting and procuring of easements, rights-of-way, highway and railroad crossing permits, government permits, and other land documents. Plots profiles, makes routine calculations, and reduces field notes. Training and/or experience, in mapping, drafting and mathematics will be required. May be required to take an oral or written examination or performance test covering these qualifications. 8390 *DRAFTSMAN, SENIOR An employee who, under the supervision of the Drafting Supervisor, uses computer aided drafting skills to prepare sketches, diagrams, single line job drawings, job maps and when required, makes field checks in connection with such maps. DRAFTSMAN. Minimum of a one (1) year certificate from a technical or trade school in drafting is required with three (3) years drafting experience. Shall be competent in Computer Aided Design/Drafting, Design and Graphic skills. TECHNICAL WRITER/EDITOR A knowledge and understanding of abstract ideas and theoretical concepts in the subject matter field of Night Vision Electronic Sensors and computer systems. The technical publications writer or editor must be familiar with the subject matter involved and must be aware of the relationship of the writing or editing project to the total technical information program. COMPUTER OPERATOR Detailed knowledge of computer equipment, communications links, and peripheral devices, including operating methods and characteristics in order to set up and operate the equipment. Working knowledge of INFORMIX, other languages and operating systems, utility software, and job control languages to initiate and monitor processing of production workloads. DATA ENTRY CLERK Knowledge of operating procedures, methods and problems sufficient to understand and act on their effect on documentation requirements. Knowledge of Installation Equipment Management System (IEMS), i.e. analyze input data, use retrieval capabilities and schedule workload processing for IEM programs as required. The ability to discern similar but differing documentation requirements in order to correctly excerpt and load the correct data from technical documents (i.e. drawings) into the correct fields of a data base management system. DRAFTSMAN. An employee who works under direction, following provided source information, layouts, marked prints, sketches, written or verbal instruction, standard information, that may require some collation and interpretation to produce all types of electrical and/or mechanical drawings, and related written information, in compliance with established methods and procedures.

DRAFTSMAN. The preparation and revision of complex drafting detail documents from provided source information, e.g. layouts, schematics, standards, sketches, written or oral instructions. The amount of direction required varies with experience and ability. May be required to check the detail work of others or direct others on specific detail projects.
DRAFTSMAN. This Agreement shall be construed equally with reference to both parties regardless of which party may have served as the draftsman.
DRAFTSMAN. Must have completed a two (2) year technical course of study in drafting, cartography or closely related field with course work in computer technology, drafting and design, or closely related fields with two (2) years of practical experience. Individual should be familiar with the CADD system.
