Education Expenses. 17.1 Each member who is directed to attend a Police College, or any other authorized course requiring accommodation on the part of the member at a place other than his/her usual residence, shall be paid an expense allowance in the amount of ten dollars ($10.00) per day in addition to his/her regular salary, and in addition shall be provided with the necessary accommodations, meals, books, equipment and other related expenses where necessary for such attendance.
17.2 In the event that weekend accommodations and/or meals are not provided by the institution offering the course, the member shall receive the necessary expenses for accommodations and meals.
17.3 Each member covered by this Agreement, who makes application and who is approved by the Niagara Police Board to attend university or any institution of higher learning, to take an approved degree course, technical course, seminar course, or to receive any training (physical or otherwise) which will complement his/her knowledge and be of benefit to the Service, may be granted the necessary time off with pay, and may have all fees for registration, tuition, textbooks, visual aids and incidental expenses paid by the Niagara Police Board. Such approval shall be in the complete and uncontrolled discretion of the Chief of Police.
17.4 Any member required to attend a course at the Ontario Police College or the Canadian Police College will be recorded as at school for one (1) eight (8) hour day prior to the date of commencement of the course and one (1) eight (8) hour day subsequent to the date of completion of the course to accommodate travel.
17.5 In addition any member required to attend any other approved course or seminar, that is both 5 days or more and is located farther than 250 km from the member’s current work location, will be recorded as at school for one (1) eight (8) hour day prior to the date of commencement of the course and one (1) eight (8) hour day subsequent to the date of completion of the course to accommodate travel.
17.6 Notwithstanding the above, recruits traveling to the Ontario Police College for the basic recruit constable training course shall be paid three (3) hours at time and a half for travel both to and from the College at the beginning and end of the course.
17.7 In addition, for any other approved course or seminar, members will be paid at time and a half for any travel time outside of their regular tour of duty.

Education Expenses. Two dollars for every dollar awarded for job-related programs in accordance with the City's Education Grant Program, except that there will be no annual maximum.
Education Expenses. Section 1. The Parties hereto consider themselves mutually responsible for the improving of public service through creation of improved EMPLOYEE morale and efficiency. In this connection, the Parties agree that they shall encourage EMPLOYEES to pursue outside studies, including correspondence courses, which enhance the EMPLOYEE'S ability to contribute to the City's public service program within the bargaining unit. Where the course is one that has received prior approval of the department head, then the Parties hereto agree that, upon satisfactory completion of the same by the individual EMPLOYEE, the City of Concord shall assume the cost of said course and reimburse the EMPLOYEE to that extent. Denial of approval by the department head may be appealed at the City Manager level.
Education Expenses. Employees shall not incur costs for courses, seminars, conferences and workshops they are required to attend. Reimbursement for discretionary courses, seminars, conferences and workshops is at the discretion of the Guardian manager and is subject to the availability of funds. Tuition reimbursement for degree-seeking employees is at the discretion of the Program Administrator, subject to the availability of funds.

Education Expenses. 12 a. Allocations of bargaining unit travel and training will be 13 determined annually through the budgetary process. Allocation for Nurse Practitioner 14 and Physician Assistant will be equivalent to Physicians. The maximum annual 15 allotment will be proportional to budgeted FTE. The County and Association agree 16 that for purposes of this provision that an .8 FTE or higher is equivalent to a 1.0 FTE.
17 b. Tuition, travel, meals and lodging, certification 18 examination fees, books, journal subscriptions and home study courses are all 19 reimbursable expenses. Books and journals purchased through travel and training 20 funds are the property of Multnomah County and must remain at the worksite for the 21 use of all staff members.
22 c. Requests for disbursement and/or reimbursement of 23 funds will be submitted for approval to the employee’s manager or their designee on 24 the appropriate form.
Education Expenses. (Applicable to PPT and Temporary Staff) When an employee attends an approved educational course, they will be reimbursed for all appropriate expense entitlements.
Education Expenses. A. The Town will provide an annual stipend, to be disbursed no later than August 7th to compensate for the cost of continuing education. This shall be issued in a check separate from the bi-weekly pay check. Members will not be eligible for the education stipend until the first disbursement after they have completed probation.

B. The Town will provide internet based education materials through a Computer-Based Learning Management System for each member that provides for a minimum of 12 credits towards National Registry of EMT's recertification requirements.
C. The Town will provide the members with ACLS, PALS, and BLS classes annually. Attendance is not mandatory.
D. The Town will not grant education leave associated with recertification. Recertification hours off duty will not be eligible for compensation.
E. Mandatory education may be required at the discretion of the EMS Director. In the event that the EMS Director requires members to attend training, members will be granted one hour of compensation leave for each hour of education.
Education Expenses. Subject to the prior approval of the subject matter by the Department Director, full-time nurses shall receive up to two hundred dollars ($200) per year (prorated for part-time employees) for registration fees and related travel expenses. Any per diem nurse who has worked at least four hundred sixty (460) hours in the prior calendar year shall be eligible for a fifty dollar ($50) education expense reimbursement the following calendar year.
Education Expenses. The Company will reimburse you for incremental school fees for your children, over and above those fees you would otherwise have incurred in the United States had you not moved to London, up to a maximum of £50,000 per year for all of your children.
