Education-Personal Leave. After five years of consecutive service to the school district, a teacher may request to take two years off from the system without compensation for the purpose of pursuing an advanced degree or for personal reasons. Teachers given leaves without pay will advance on the salary schedule upon return. Teachers are requested to make notification of intent to take educational or personal leave during the month of May. In no event will leave be granted if the request is after July 1. In order to qualify for a subsequent educational or personal leave, a teacher will be obligated to serve an additional five consecutive years of service to the district.
Education-Personal Leave. Teachers under tenure may be granted leave of absence without pay and other benefits provided for in this AGREEMENT for a period of one year for the purpose of continuing their studies or otherwise advancing their professional growth in a manner, which is judged by the Board to have a direct relationship to their contractual duties with the District. Such leaves of absence may be granted for the following purposes:
Education-Personal Leave. The Employer may grant a leave of absence to any Employee for a maximum period of twelve (12) months for education reasons or for personal reasons of the Employee. Such leave may be renewed at the discretion of the Employer.
