Establishing Seniority. An employee’s selection date as a supervisor shall become the employee’s supervisory seniority date.
20.05 A Seniority Roster will be maintained by the Employer and be made available when requested by any Supervisor.
20.06 Any employee who has established seniority and is elected or appointed to any full- time office in a Union shall continue to accrue seniority status in this Agreement or the IBU Agreement as applicable throughout their term or terms in office, and may thereafter exercise their seniority by classification in selecting a new assignment of their choice. Any employee who has established seniority and who is transferred to a position in management may continue to accrue seniority status in the Agreement as applicable for the duration of employment with management, provided they pay a monthly maintenance fee determined by the Union. If the employee elects not to pay the monthly maintenance fee, their seniority shall be frozen. Any displaced employee will also have the right to exercise their seniority by classification in selecting a new assignment of their choice.

C. It is understood and agreed that the “date of hire” will be used, prior to an employee attaining seniority as provided in 19.04 A, for all non-year round assignments. Further, iIt is agreed that the employee’s date of hire may be adjusted from time-to-time resulting from the employee’s non- availability to work. Provided the Employer substantiates the employees non-availability by certified U.S. Mail, and the employee does not respond or state he is available for assignments within fifteen (15) calendar days.

Informational Agent Any employee assigned to the Shore Gang shall retain their seniority in the classification and department they held prior to their Shore Gang assignment.
Establishing Seniority. Seniority standing of Control Center Technicians and Code Compliance Inspectors as agreed upon and in effect on the date of this MOA shall not be changed. The Control Center Technician or Code Compliance Inspector will be placed on the seniority roster as of their date of hire. If several employees are hired on the same date then seniority order will be determined by birth date (birth year first then birth month), eldest first. An Employee who leaves the service of the District of their own accord shall forfeit their seniority rights and shall not be reinstated. If they are reemployed by the District, their seniority rights shall date from the date the employee first performs service for the District after re-employment. . Employees will remain in lay-off status until they are: (1) recalled or (2) they have been laid-off for 12 months after which they will forfeit their seniority.
Establishing Seniority. 13.01.01 A member's seniority shall commence with the first day of full-time employment within the Department.
13.01.02 Where two or more persons begin employment with the Department on the same day their initial seniority shall be established by the Selection Committee at the time of hiring prior to their start date. Initial seniority applies only during the probation period.
13.01.03 Seniority shall be re-evaluated prior to the end of the probationary period and permanent seniority shall be established based on probationary performance. Assessment of seniority shall consist of the following weighting: a) 25% - Hiring competition b) 25% - Probationary performance assessments c) 25% - Probationary step up examination d) 25% - Probationary skills assessment
13.01.04 The process outlined in 13.01.03 shall be approved by the Liaison Committee and department seniority shall be established.
Establishing Seniority. Lists showing seniority of service by Craft Group and plant-wide shall be compiled and kept posted on all bulletin boards. These lists will be revised as needed, but not more than every six (6) months, and new employees’ names will be added immediately and verified by the xxxxxxx for posting. Where two employees establish seniority on the same date, seniority will be in alphabetic order of surname. A copy of the seniority list will be sent to the Union office.
