Ethical Responsibilities. All LAUSD contracts must be developed and maintained within an ethical framework. LAUSD seeks to promote public trust and confidence in our contracting relationships and we expect every individual, regardless of position or level of responsibility, who is associated with an LAUSD procurement process or contract, to commit to exemplifying high standards of conduct in all phases of any relationship with LAUSD. Given that the business practices and actions of Contractors and their Representatives may impact or reflect upon LAUSD, strict observance with the standards in this Code, all applicable local, state and federal laws, and any other governing LAUSD policies or agreements is not only a minimum requirement for all Contractors and their Representatives, but an ethical obligation as well. In addition to any specific obligations under a Contractor’s agreement with LAUSD, all Contractors and their Representatives shall comply with the following requirements:
A. Demonstrate Honesty and Integrity – Contractors shall adhere to the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all their dealings with and/or on behalf of LAUSD. As a general rule, Contractors must exercise caution and avoid even the appearance of impropriety or misrepresentation. All communications, proposals, business information, time records, and any other financial transactions must be provided truthfully, accurately, and completely.
B. Be a Responsible Bidder – Contractors shall demonstrate a record of integrity and business ethics in accordance with all policies, procedures, and requirements established by LAUSD.

In accordance with this tradition, Coach, as a member of the Department, agrees to represent the University in an honorable and ethical manner at all times. In addition, University Intercollegiate Athletics Policy § 8.036 reflects and specifies certain requirements regarding ethical conduct, as does University's Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment policies, each of which, as amended from time to time, shall be deemed a part of this Agreement. If Coach becomes aware, or has reasonable cause to believe, that violations of applicable constitutions, bylaws, interpretations, laws, policies, standards, directives, rules or regulations have taken place, he shall report them promptly (and in all cases within seven days) to the athletic director. As set forth in NCAA Bylaw 11.2.1(a) and 19.2.3, Coach has an affirmative obligation to cooperate fully in the NCAA infractions process, including the investigation and adjudication of any case involving allegations of infractions. Such cooperation includes cooperation with any internal University investigation, but also cooperation with an investigative or adjudicative body of the NCAA, in order to further the objectives of the NCAA, its infractions program, and its independent alternative resolution program. Such cooperation shall include disclosing and providing access to all electronic devices used in any way for university purposes and providing access to all social media, messaging and other applications that are or may be relevant to an investigation. Coach will comply with the University’s reporting obligations relating to prohibited discrimination, the Clery Act and the abuse of minors. Ethical Responsibilities. 4.1 The Host Institution must ensure that before the Research/Project funded by the Grant commences and during the full Grant Period, all necessary legal and regulatory requirements, including any necessary or appropriate ethical approval, in order to conduct the Research/Project are met. 4.2 All Grant-holders using animals must adhere to the Guidelines for the Welfare and Use of Animals in Cancer Research/Project as set out by Xxxxxxx, et al. (2010: Br. J. Cancer 102, 1555–1577) and implement the principles in the cross-funder guidance Responsibility in the Use of Animals in Bioscience Research/Project. Experiments using animals funded by the Histiocytosis UK must:
4.2.1 use animals only where there are no alternatives;
4.2.2 use the simplest possible, or least sentient, species of animal;
4.2.3 ensure that distress and suffering are avoided wherever possible; and,
4.2.4 employ an appropriate design and use the minimum number of animals consistent with ensuring that the scientific objectives will be met.

4.3 Grant-holders should make use of the ARRIVE guidelines when designing their experiments, and ensure that they report animal-based studies in accordance with the ARRIVE guidelines as far as possible, taking into account the specific editorial policies of the journal concerned.
4.4 All Research/Projecters using cell culture must incorporate a specific cell line authentication protocol into their experimental framework, following the best practice for cell culture procedures (UKCCCR Guidelines for the Use of Cell Lines in Cancer Research/Project, 2000: Br. J. Cancer 82, 1495–1509
4.5 All Researchers /Project Managers are expected to follow the principles and guidelines set out by MRC’s Good Research/Project Practice (2012: xxxx://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/Research/Project/Research/Project-policyethics/good-Research/Project- practice/).
