These regulations are subject to change by conference officials and by the Community College League of California. Athletic eligibility is determined in the Admissions and records Office. Cuesta College Athletics offers a Program Assisting student-Athlete success (PAss), which provides confidential, professional and voluntary assistance to support students in dealing with issues that may be adversely affecting their academic, athletic, or personal performance. educational programs are provided to offer preventive information, to assist in identifying problems, and to promote the general well-being of student athletes. Appropriate referrals for assistance will be made to campus and community resources. The PAss program consists of six components: • Academic Advisement • Academic status • Learning Assistance • student Athlete success Class • scholarship recognition • Personal Development Athletes who intend to transfer and compete at a four-year college or university should consult Counseling services regarding eligibility and transfer requirements.
Intercollegiate Athletics. The Parties acknowledge that, under NCAA rules in effect from time to time, it may not be possible for intercollegiate student-athletes in the Purdue Realigned Academic Units to participate with IU students on a single National Collegiate Athletic Association (“NCAA”) Division I athletic program known as “IUPUI.” The Parties will nonetheless use their best efforts to explore options with the NCAA that might permit any current IUPUI student-athletes pursing a degree from Purdue to retain and maintain their eligibility to participate and compete on their intercollegiate sport team upon being admitted into the applicable school, college or division within a Purdue Realigned Academic Unit.
Intercollegiate Athletics. The rigors of athletic participation at the intercollegiate level necessitate a high amount of time be committed to physical conditioning, practices and competitions. Should a student have eligibility remaining, permission may be granted by the PD and CCE during the first year within the MSAT program. However, due to the demands of the MSAT program during the second year of the program, no athletic participation will be granted. Both academic preparation and athletic participation require immense time commitments. Those students wishing to attempt to participate on a Varsity intercollegiate athletic team will need to demonstrate superior communication skills, time management skills, and professionalism. Continued progression in the ATP as a student athlete will be determined on an individual basis.
