Final PS&E. Bid Set – Address miscellaneous Town comments on the 100% submittal and prepare a bid-ready set of plans, technical specifications, and cost estimate. Deliverables: • Comment Response Matrix • Final Plans (PDF) • Final Technical Specifications (MS Word, PDF) • Final Cost Estimate (MS Excel, PDF) Assumptions: • Town will provide a compiled set of comments after resolving inconsistencies between various reviewers. • It is assumed that if Town decides to split the project in two, the same plan set will be used and non-applicable work items will be crossed out from the plans. This scope does not include preparing stand- alone plan sets for two separate bid packages. 7 BID SUPPORT • Support the Town through the bid process and construction contract award. • Respond to questions or requests for clarifications during the bid phase. • Attend a pre-bid meeting. • Assist the Town establish the lowest responsible bidder. • Provide value engineering services as needed if bids are above the construction budget. Deliverables: • Responses to RFIs Assumptions: • The project will be constructed in a single construction package. 8 CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION • Provide construction support services. Tasks may include attending pre-construction and other field meetings, reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information, providing field check services, preparing design modifications if necessary due to unforeseen conditions, prepare as-built documents, and project closeout. • Consultant shall conduct site visits during construction at appropriate stages. Consultant shall provide submittal list, respond to requests for information (RFI), review shop drawings, and prepare change orders, and provide written recommendations to the Town. Consultant shall participate in the final walk-through and assist with preparing the punch list of deficiencies. Deliverables: • Responses to RFIs • Reviewed shop drawings • Change order plans • As-built plans Assumptions: • This task will be performed on a time-and-material basis.
Final PS&E. The final bridge contract documents will be prepared and submitted to the County as described below.
Final PS&E. Prepare 100% plans and Technical Specifications (Sectons 8, 9, and 10). All Department comments from the 75% submittal will be fully incorporated. Prepare construction cost estimate (Final Opinion of Probable Construction Costs). Task 12. R/W Plat Preparation Plats for right-of-way and temporary construction easements will be prepared based on research and final design plans. Submit Plats and supporting information to Department R/W agent for negotiation and acquisition of R/W.
Final PS&E. 7.5A Bridge Independent Check The Draft PS&E will be sufficiently complete such that an independent bridge design check can be completed by a GHD bridge engineer who has not previously been involved with the project. The independent engineer will analyze the bridge and retaining walls (if required), verify member capacities and review the special provisions for the bridge. The independent engineer will provide a list of comments and a set of “red-marked” plans that communicate issues uncovered during the preparation of the independent check. Issues raised by the checker will be discussed with and resolved by the designer and checker. The final design will reflect agreement between the two engineers.
Final PS&E. Addressing City comments from the 95% submittal, prepare final plans and detail sheets; final cost estimate and technical specifications.
Final PS&E. Following the Town’s review of the 95% documents, our Team will update the construction documents accordingly and prepare a final set PS&E. All final PS&E documents will be stamped and signed by RJA’s Project Manager or the appropriate subconsultant engineer. The Final documents will be submitted to the Town for construction use.
Final PS&E. GHD Inc. and Bengal shall prepare Final PS&E for the proposed project. These construction documents shall reflect format and design changes as requested during the 95% review process. GHD Inc. shall conduct a final independent QA/QC review of the Final PS&E submittal prior to submittal to County. GHD Inc. and Bengal will prepare responses to comments provided on the 95% PS&E submittal. A formal comment resolution table will be prepared identifying all 95% design review comments which will be provided with the Final PS&E submittal. The table will also include responses to comments and agreed upon comment resolutions. Redlines from our independent internal QA/QC review shall also be submitted to County. Deliverables: ✓ Hard copies of the QA/QC review redlines of Final PS&E (1 set assumed). ✓ Full size reproducible set (vellum) of Final Plans. ✓ Full size sets (bond) of Final Plans (5 sets assumed). ✓ Half size sets (bond) of Final Plans (10 sets assumed). ✓ Final drawings on CD in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 format. ✓ Final General and Technical Specifications (10 copies assumed). ✓ Final General and Technical Specifications in MS Word format. ✓ Final Construction Cost Estimate. ✓ Final Construction Cost Estimate in MS Excel format ✓ Responses to County/Caltrans comments on the 95% submittal.
Final PS&E. Responses to comments on the 95% PS&E will be prepared by XXXX. Following approval of the Response to 95% PS&E comments, XXXX will prepare the Final PS&E package. KHA has budgeted up to 16 hours of as-needed roundabout design coordination services for this task. Final PS&E. The CONSULTANT will develop Final PS&E Plans per the checklist found in Chapter 3 of the RDM, including revisions from Initial PS&E, including SWPPP, construction sequencing (if applicable), traffic control, special provisions, signing plans and updating project cost estimate for Final PS&E.
