HOLIDAY ON A REGULAR DAY OFF. Where a holiday set out in Article 25.1 falls on an Employee’s scheduled day off, s/he will have the option of receiving the pay s/he is entitled to for the holiday or an equivalent amount of time-off with pay, which will be scheduled at a time mutually agreeable to the Employer and the Employee.

HOLIDAY ON A REGULAR DAY OFF. If a City holiday falls on an employee's regularly scheduled day off and the employee does not work on such holiday, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensation at their base hourly rate.
HOLIDAY ON A REGULAR DAY OFF. Although Lieutenants are exempt status employees, in recognition of the inconvenience of being called to work from off-duty status on a City holiday, employee shall receive floating holiday hours on an hour-by-hour basis, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours per year. At the Police Chief’s discretion, the Police Chief may authorize the employee to bank additional hours above the eight (8) hour maximum for working a holiday. Hours shall be added to their floating holiday bank. Floating holiday hours added for Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day holidays may be carried over to the following year.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu.

  • Overtime on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is required to work overtime on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she will receive compensation equal to 3.33 times her regular rate as follows:

  • Holidays on Day Off When any of the above noted holidays fall on an employee's scheduled day off for those employees who work other than the normal work week, Monday to Friday, inclusive, the employee shall receive another day off with pay at a time mutually agreed upon between the employee and the Employer.

  • Payment for Working on a Holiday (The following clause is applicable to part-time employees only) The holidays listed in the part-time local Appendix for the purposes of Article 16.03(b) shall be the same holidays as are listed in the full-time Local Provisions Appendix. If an employee is required to work on any of the holidays set out in the local Appendix the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday.

  • Holiday Payment 4.1 Where an employee works on a holiday specified in Article 47 (Holidays) and opts for compensating leave under Article UN13.2 or COR13.2, he or she may elect, at that time, to receive, in addition to his or her entitlement under Article UN13.2 or COR13.2, further leave equal to the difference between the number of hours in the employee’s normal work day and his or her entitlement under Article UN13.2

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Compensation for Work on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is regularly scheduled to work, in accordance with Article 14, and her regularly scheduled day of work falls on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she shall receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2 ½) times her regular rate of pay as follows:
