FOREPERSON a) It is the intent of both parties to this Agreement that the term “Foreperson” shall mean any Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic of a signatory Employer who is designated by such Employer to supervise the activities of other Employees. b) The Employer shall designate a Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic as a “B” Foreperson when five (5) to ten (10) workers (inclusive of the foreperson) are employed on any jobsite. The Employer shall designate a Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic as an “A” Foreperson when over ten (10) workers are employed on any jobsite.

FOREPERSON. A. Signatory contractors shall be permitted to transfer in one key Foreperson or General Foreperson per project. B. When one (1) employee is employed and is required to read blueprints, (s)he shall receive Foreperson1s wages. When two (2) or more employees are employed, one shall be selected by the EMPLOYER to act as Foreperson and receive Foreperson1s wages. The Foreperson is the only representative of the EMPLOYER who shall issue instructions to the workmen. C. The EMPLOYER may employ on one piece of work as many Foreperson or pushers as in his judgment is necessary for the safe, expeditious and economical handling of the same. D. There shall be a non-working General Foreperson on each project employing fifteen (15) or more employees. The General Foreperson shall be selected by the EMPLOYER and the General Foreperson shall be a Journeyman iron worker who has been a member of I.AB.S.O. & R.I.W. and has been employed by contractor for at least six (6) months. (S)he shall receive General Foreperson’s wages. (S)he shall issue instructions only to the Foreperson under his/her supervision.
FOREPERSON. All Employees in the pressroom who are governed by the Agreement shall be under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent, the Foreperson, or the Assistant Forepersons, who are recognized as being representatives of the Employer, to be known hereinafter as the Foreperson.

Xxxx Xxxxxxxxxx must be a Journeyperson member of the Local Union. 19.2 No Employees shall be required to give orders to other journeypersons without receiving Xxxxxxxxxx's pay. 19.3 All Employees classified as Foreperson shall receive ten percent (10%) above scale for supervising three (3) or more men. 19.4 Orders to the Employees shall be normally delegated in the following manner: General Xxxxxxxxxx, Xxxxxxxxxx to Employee. 19.5 A General Xxxxxxxxxx or Superintendent shall be required when supervising three (3) or more projects or when supervising fifteen (15) or more members of the Painting and Decorating Industry. A General Xxxxxxxxxx or Superintendent shall receive twelve percent (12%) above scale. 19.6 On each remote job with two (2) or more men a Foreperson shall be in charge. In the event an Employer has multiple remote job sites, a Foreperson shall be designated for each job site and the Local Union notified. Although a Foreperson may be allowed to supervise more than one site when due to their closeness it is feasible to do so. A remote job site is defined as a place of work where the Employee is required to remain overnight from their point of hire.
FOREPERSON. (a) The Employer shall maintain a list of Employees who are interested in being assigned to the role of general foreperson and or working foreperson, and shall consider these individuals when assignments are available. Assignments to these temporary roles shall be made by the responsible supervisor, and may be changed as deemed necessary or desirable by the supervisor. (b) Where it is anticipated that such an assignment is required for more than six (6) months, the opportunity will be posted and appointed pursuant to this Article 14 and subject to Article 14.7(c). Where an assignment that was not initially anticipated to be more than six (6) months lasts for eight (8) months, the opportunity will be posted in accordance with Article 14.7(b) after eight (8) months, except where the Employer and the Union agree in writing to extend the assignment without posting. (c) Where the Employer determines that a foreperson assigned pursuant to Article 14.7(b) is no longer needed on a specific crew or the Union and/or Employee and the Employer mutually agree that a foreperson should be removed from the assignment (e.g. due to performance issues, employee conflicts, or similarly compelling circumstances) the Employer may, on at least two (2) weeks’ notice, remove the foreperson designation and the premium pay paid pursuant to Article 18.

FOREPERSON. 22:01 Forepersons shall receive Fifteen percent (15%) per hour higher than the Journeyperson’s rate of pay. General Forepersons shall receive Twenty percent (20%) per hour higher than the Journeyperson’s rate of pay and the Superintendents shall receive Twenty-Five percent (25%) per hour higher than the Journeyperson’s rate of pay. General Forepersons and Superintendents shall be members of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers. 22:02 All jobs must have a Foreperson where two or more Journeyperson Masons are employed in one class of the trade, and after six Journeyperson Masons are employed in one class of the trade, the Union Foreperson shall not use the tools. All Forepersons, General Forepersons and Superintendents must be members of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. Should a shift require more than (1) one foreperson, said forepersons shall be members of the local where the work is being performed. The local shall supply a list of qualified forepersons that are available. If the local cannot supply qualified forepersons, than they shall come from one of the signatory locals from Atlantic Canada. The parties agree to cooperate on implementing xxxxxxx and supervisory training programs. All supervisors and xxxxxxx shall have this training by May 1, 2018.
FOREPERSON. 24.01 A Foreperson is a journeyperson employee who is working on the job, with or without tools, and is charged with the responsibility under the Superintendent for supervision or directing the work. 24.02 Forepersons shall be appointed at the discretion of the employer. 24.03 Forepersons may, at the employer’s discretion, be a member in good standing of any Local of the International Union. 24.04 Forepersons will receive minimum twelve percent (12%) of the base journeyperson rate.
FOREPERSON. (a) Grade 1 - Shall receive in addition to all other amounts due an additional all purpose amount of $56.50 per week. (b) Grade 2 - Shall receive in addition to all other amounts due an additional all purpose amount of $85.00 per week.
