Hours of Work - Part-Time. A part-time employee of the Board shall be allowed to work up to hours per week at more than one location in the Board and gain seniority for same, provided:
Hours of Work - Part-Time. All known hours will be scheduled on an equitable basis and seniority will be given preference for call in on a rotating basis, including blocks of time which include more than one (1) shift. Part-time staff are required to accept a minimum of one (1) call-in (if call-ins are available) per calendar month, except in extenuating circumstances.
Hours of Work - Part-Time. Hours of work for Part-time Nurses shall be as scheduled but shall not exceed, seven and one half (7.5) hours per day, exclusive of meal times, or thirty (30) hours in any workweek. Notwithstanding the above, part-time Nurses are entitled to work up to thirty-seven and one half (37.5) hours in any workweek at straight time. Part-time Nurses shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half (1.5) of their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time workweek. For the purposes of this Agreement, the workweek commences at 00:01 a.m. on Sunday. The workday shall be a period of twenty-four (24) hours commencing at 00:01 a.m.
Hours of Work - Part-Time. When preparing the shift schedule to be posted in accordance with article 17.03, the available shifts will be distributed as equitably as possible amongst employees having regard to seniority. Part time employees may submit and may amend on a quarterly basis a shift preference sheet indicating his or her preferred shifts and these preferences will be considered when preparing the shift schedule.
Hours of Work - Part-Time. Workers (a) The Employer will provide an Employee, in writing, their ordinary hours of work specifying the numbers of hours worked each day, which days of the week the employee will work and the actual starting and finishing times each day. These hours can be altered by mutual agreement in writing. (b) A part time Employee may by mutual agreement with the Employer agree to work extra non- rostered ordinary time hours up to the ordinary daily or weekly maximums, provided that the daily or weekly maximum is not exceed, without the payment of overtime. A part-time Employee can elect to provide written standing consent to vary their regular pattern of work in order to work additional ordinary hours, provided such standing consent may be withdrawn by the Employee at any time. (To avoid doubt, an Employee who provides standing consent can still verbally refuse to work additional hours when offered on any occasion. (c) That a part-time employee is an employee who will work fewer than thirty-eight (38) ordinary hours per week. (d) All ordinary hours are to be worked within a minimum engagement of 4 hours per day and a maximum of 10 ordinary hours per day. (e) All ordinary hours for part time day workers are to be worked between: i. 6.00 am and 7.00 pm Sunday to Friday and 6.00 am and 6.00 pm Saturday for Clerks or Telephone Sales clerks. Provided that where a Clerk works in association with other classes of employees who work ordinary hours outside the spread prescribed by this clause, the hours during which ordinary hours may be worked are as prescribed by the ordinary hours applying to the majority of the employees in the workplace.

Hours of Work - Part-Time. C6.2.1 The APVMA recognises that part-time employment may enhance workforce flexibility and may assist employees to balance work and family responsibilities. Either the employee or the APVMA can initiate proposals for part-time work. An employee will only move to part-time employment by agreement. C6.2.2 Employee initiated proposals will be considered taking into account both the personal requirements of the employee and the APVMA’s operational requirements, including the availability of suitable positions. The parties to the agreement acknowledge that the potential for part-time work may not be available due to the nature of operational demands. C6.2.3 Applications for part-time work will usually only be considered for an agreed fixed period. Where a proposal for part-time employment is approved, the APVMA will provide written notification outlining the agreed hours and days of work, and whether flextime provisions will apply.
