Illness - Immediate Family. The teacher may take up to two (2) days leave per illness for illness in the immediate family to the extent that the presence of the teacher is reasonably required.

Illness - Immediate Family. A Full-Time employee may be granted Leave of Absence of up to fourteen (14) hours per year with pay and a Part-Time employee may be granted up to eight (8) hours per year with pay, due to an illness in his/her family. Payment shall be subject to the approval of the Chief Executive Officer or designate.

A severe illness will be considered one involving major surgery as certified by doctor, or one in which concern is expressed by a doctor for the life of the patient, and the employee shall submit to the Board a doctor's certificate verifying the severity of the illness.
