Technological Change - Training Benefits. When new or greater skills are required than are already possessed by affected employees under the present methods of operation, such employee shall, at the expense of the employer, be given a reasonable period of time to acquire the skills necessitated by the new method of operation. There shall be no reduction in wage and salary rates during the training period of any such employee.

Technological Change - Training Benefits. The Hospital undertakes to notify the Union in advance, so far as practicable of technological changes which the Hospital has decided to introduce which will significantly change the status of employees within the bargaining unit. The Hospital agrees to discuss with the Union the effect of such technological changes on the employment status of employees and to consider practical ways and means of the adverse effect, if any, upon employees concerned. Where new or greater skills are required than are already possessed by employees under the present methods of operation, such employees shall be given a period of training, with due consideration being given to the employees age and previous educational background, during which they may perfect or acquire the skills necessitated by the new method of operation. The employer assume the cost of tuition and travel. There shall be no reduction in wage or salary rates during the training period of any such employee. Training shah be given during the hours of work whenever possible and may extend for up to six months. Employees with one or more years of continuous service who are subject to lay-off due to technological change under conditions referred to above will be given notice of the impending change in employment status at the earliest reasonable time in keeping with the notification to the union as above set forth. -Work of the Bargaining Unit Supervisors and persons above the rank of supervisor who are excluded from the bargaining unit shall not perform duties normally performed by employees in the bargaining unit which shall cause or result in the layoff of employees in the bargaining unit. ARTICLE AU new and amended job descriptions shall be provided to the Association ARTICLE Effective January and on that date for each subsequent calendar year, the Hospital provide per calendar year to each employee who is required by the Hospital, as delineated below, to wear safety footwear during the course of his duties.   • Public Benefits ‌ 5.1 Developer to provide Public Benefits‌ The Developer must, at its cost and risk, provide the Public Benefits to the City in accordance with this document.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers. 2. Regular review of its job-related and career development and training programs will be made by the State in order to provide suitable programs for employees covered by this Agreement. When undertaking any such review, the State shall notify employees of such review and take into account suggestions and proposals made by employees. 3. Employees shall be given a reasonable notice of applicable, development and training programs available. Such notice shall include an explanation of the procedure for applying for the program. Notices of development and training programs shall be posted for reasonable periods in advance on bulletin boards at applicable work locations within the agencies involved. An appointing authority shall make every effort to permit employees' participation in such career development and training programs. Participation in any training inside or outside of work hours which is required by the State as a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the employee's job, or any in-service State training which is conducted or undertaken during normally scheduled work hours will be considered as time worked. 4. The State shall pay tuition, course-related fees, other approved course required costs and for necessary travel and lodging pursuant to established policies and procedures.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Educational Benefits The Employer agrees to provide educational benefits to employees that are in permanent status as of the first day of the quarter they are registering in accordance with the Employer’s space-available tuition waiver policy and employee 50% operating fee tuition waiver policy, to include:

  • Industrial Relations Training Leave Union Delegate/Employee Representative shall have access to industrial relations training in accordance with Appendix E hereof.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Training Plan 19.6.1 An apprentice shall be a party to an individual Training Plan. 19.6.2 The Training Plan sets out the training that the apprentice will do both on – the – job and off – the – job. The Training Plan also sets out how the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will ensure the apprentice will receive quality training – both on – the – job and off – the – job. 19.6.3 The Training Plan reflects the choices made by the employer and the apprentice in relation to:-

  • Specific Benefits Without limiting the generality of Section 3.3, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation of not less than the greater of (a) 20 business days per year or (b) the number of paid business vacation days provided to other senior executives of the Company (to be taken at reasonable times in accordance with the Company’s policies). Any accrued vacation not taken during any year may be carried forward to subsequent years; provided, that the Executive may not carry forward more than ten business days of unused vacation in any one year.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Prerequisites to Benefits Neither the Participant, nor any person claiming through the Participant, shall have any right or interest in the Restricted Stock awarded hereunder, unless and until all the terms, conditions and provisions of this Agreement and the Plan which affect the Participant or such other person shall have been complied with as specified herein.
