Job Related Courses. The employer and Union encourage employees to attend training and upgrading courses, seminars, and workshops related to their work. When the employer requires an employee to take certain training, the employer will pay the cost of tuition and textbooks. The Board, with prior written approval from the Superintendent of Schools or designate, will reimburse employees for fees or texts for job-related courses. Reimbursement will be contingent upon receipt of proof of participation and/or satisfactory completion of the course work. It is understood that any leave of absence approval and the total funds available will be at the discretion of the employer. This will not preclude any training procedures with regard to technological change as outlined in the Letter of Intent of April 9, 1987 as agreed and attached to and forming part of this Agreement.
Job Related Courses. (a) The Employer may request employees to enroll in job-related courses or programs. In such cases all expenses will be paid by the Employer.
(b) The Employer will consider on a case by case basis, requests for training to upgrade an Employee’s skills.
Job Related Courses. For job related training courses designed to provide the EMPLOYEE with skills to improve efficiency or to provide for education necessary to obtain state mandated certificates, and continuing education units for certifications required for specific job descriptions, the DISTRICT shall provide payment of course fee, transportation, reimbursement for meals and lodging, and shall pay a maximum of eight (8) hours per day for attending such training.
Job Related Courses a) The Employer shall do what is reasonably practical to increase the knowledge, training, physical fitness and skill of the Employees, having regard for their seniority. If a member attends a job-related course of at least eight (8) hours duration, approved in advance by the Fire Chief, he shall not be required to report to his regular night shift commencing that day provided that, should fewer than five (5) Firefighters report to work that night shift, then the Firefighter who has attended the course shall be required to attend his regularly scheduled shift. If attendance at such a course is during the day when the Employee is normally scheduled to work, he shall report to work prior to the commencement of the course to pick up a portable radio but shall not subsequently be required to report for work unless the course on the day in question ends at or before 4:00 p.m. or unless he is contacted to report to work due to a requirement of additional manpower. Unless specifically authorized, payment for training courses will not be made. Courses will normally be posted a minimum of thirty (30) days before they are to take place.
Job Related Courses. The City will continue its current practice of paying the tuition for courses which are related to the current job which the employee is performing.
Job Related Courses. A. Reimbursement for course work initiated or requested by an employee may be paid up to $150 per year for tuition books for any course related to an employee’s job with the written consent of the Department Head and upon successfully completing such courses. It is understood that if the employee resigns or is terminated within one (1) year following the completion of the course work, the employee will reimburse the County for the full amount paid by the County for all course related expenses, including, but not limited to: tuition, books, room and board, and mileage in one lump sum to be deducted from the employee’s final pay check(s). It is understood that any books or materials purchased by the County will remain the property of the County.
Job Related Courses. The Township agrees to pay for the tuition and books required when an employee enrolls in a job related course. The Township also agrees to give the employee the Township approved mileage allowance for attending said job related courses.
Job Related Courses. At least fifty percent (50%) of the professional growth credits shall be directly related to the employee’s duties as defined by job classification specifications and/or related to other District positions for which the employee seeks to qualify for transfer and/or promotion.
Job Related Courses. A. The Township agrees to pay for the tuition and books required when an employee enrolls in a job related course.
B. To be eligible for this benefit, the employee must receive prior approval from his or her immediate supervisor, and then from the Business Administrator. Approval of this benefit shall be at the final and sole discretion of the Business Administrator.
Job Related Courses. The Board will pay fees of appropriate job-related courses approved in advance by the Human Resources Manager, upon successful completion of the course and presentation of receipts.
