Lead Person. The Company may appoint up to five (5) Lead Persons on a daily basis. The job posting procedure shall not apply, but no employee shall be required to be a Lead Person. The Company will endeavour to keep the number of Lead Persons to a minimum. They shall be considered to be bargaining unit members for all purposes of the Collective Agreement. The Lead Person may direct the work of other employees while performing the work themselves. They shall not discipline employees; however, they will have the right to send employees home for just cause if Management is not in the facility. Discipline shall be referred to permanent Management. The names of all Lead Persons, so designated each day, shall be posted at the time clock and noted on the work schedule. When an employee works as a Lead Person, he/she shall be paid a premium of one ($1.00) dollar per hour for all hours worked as a Lead Person.
Lead Person. I. Role. The Company may, if it deems necessary, appoint a qualified non-management employee to act as a Lead Person. A Lead Person may lead the efforts of other employees in the Bargaining Unit and may do the work normally performed by a non-supervisory management employee. An employee so appointed may continue to perform Bargaining Unit work during such assignment. Such employee shall not take disciplinary action, prepare performance appraisals or make value judgments regarding other employee’s performance.
Lead Person. The duties of a lead person shall be to see that the work of that department or any segment of that department shall run smoothly and with continuity. A person designated in the lead person capacity shall receive a compensation of not less than one dollar ($1.00) per hour over and above his/her regular straight time hourly rate. If a designated person no longer performs in this capacity the added rate shall be removed. The Company agrees to notify the Union of such persons placed in these positions, the date they are placed in these positions, their hourly rate in these positions and the day they cease to be in the capacity of a lead person. It is also, understood that a lead person does not have the right or authority to administer disciplinary action to or against those working under his/her. The Company agrees that during the eight (8) weeks of vacation prime time in the months of July and August each year, the lead person will not be used to fill for the shift manager if there is a conflict with vacation at the time of the lead person’s request.
Lead Person. 22.01 The Company reserves the right to appoint any bargaining-unit employee as a Lead person, without regard for seniority, for any length of period and at any time it deems appropriate. An employee who is appointed to a lead person position, and works at least one (1) hour as a lead person, will be paid a minimum of fifty cents (50¢) an hour above the highest classification of that department. Lead person shall not have the authority to hire, suspend, dismiss or discipline employees.

Lead Person. A. The Employer reserves the right to establish and maintain a “Lead Person” extra duty assignment, to develop a job description for the assignment, and to establish an annual extra duty pay stipend for the extra duty assignment (after consultation representatives of the union). It is understood and agreed between the parties that the extra duty assignment is not an hourly assignment, and that compensation will be by set annual stipend, but computed and paid throughout the year. Assignment to this extra duty position will be made by the Employer on an annual basis. This extra duty may be discontinued at the end of any school year by the Employer.
Lead Person. 21.26 The Company may, if it deems necessary, appoint from among volunteers, a qualified Bargaining Unit employee who is at the maximum wage rate for the employee's job title, to act as a "lead person" over other employees.
Lead Person. The represented employee designated to oversee the day-to-day activities for his or her division(s), as described in the employee's job description.
Lead Person. When the Employer designates an Employee as a Lead person, they shall receive $0.50 per hour more than their classification rate. The employees currently making above the lead rate shall maintain their current lead rate.
Lead Person. (a) To be compensated at eight percent (8.0%) above the RMT II position.
