LEADERSHIP ASSIGNMENTS. The Department Chairperson and Elementary Team Leaders are annual assignments and are selected by the site administration after positing and interviewing for the position. The unit member selected will spend a majority of their day teaching within the department/grade level they are chosen to lead unless otherwise agreed by the majority vote of the members of the department. The purpose of Department Chairpersons/Team Leaders is to assist the principal in providing leadership and in developing and implementing the instructional programs of the District. The additional compensation set forth below will increase by the same (across the board) percentage increases given to UACT member salary schedules pursuant to Article 24. Each secondary teacher will be assigned to a department. If a teacher’s assignment is in more than one department, his/her assigned department will be the one in which the teacher spends the majority of time. If the time between two schools/departments is equal, then the assigned department will be the one in which the teacher is evaluated. LEADERSHIP ASSIGNMENTS a. After complying with Article IX, Participation in Governance, the College may make one or more leadership assignments (e.g., program faculty chair, lead faculty, academic team leader, etc.) within a program, department or division as part of members’ workloads, provided a member will not be compelled to accept an involuntary leadership assignment if another qualified member is willing and able to perform it, and a member will not be compelled to accept an involuntary assignment to a leadership position in consecutive academic years.
LEADERSHIP ASSIGNMENTS a. Project Engineer/Architect/Landscape Architect. Employees assigned to function as the Project Engineer/Architect/Landscape Architect of a capital project shall receive a premium equal to 5% of base salary while actually engaged in such assignments. [This is redundant with 5.2.1.a, however this is added to be parallel with 5.2.2.c & d. An alternative is to delete this phrase in 5.2.2a,b,c, & d.] The Project Engineer/Architect/Landscape Architect (PE) is supervised by the Functional Manager and reports to a Project Manager for project budget, and schedule issues. The PE is responsible for ensuring that Design Lead Engineers/Architects/Landscape Architects and other support groups, including consultants and other City engineering groups produce integrated work products that meet project goals. The PE ensures the integrity and timely completion of the critical engineering calculations, QA, presentations, and progress reporting.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Employees on Long Term Supply Assignments Employees completing long term supply assignments may only access sick leave and short term disability leave in the fiscal year in which the allocation was provided. Any remaining allocation may be used in subsequent long term supply assignments, provided these occur within the same fiscal year. Employees employed in a Long Term Supply Assignment which is less than the ordinary period of employment for the position shall have their sick leave and short term disability allocations pro-rated accordingly. Where the length of the long term supply assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/short term disability leave to occur. If a change is made to the length of the assignment, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively.

  • Employee Assignments A. All teachers will be given written notice of their salary schedule and building assignment for the forthcoming year as soon as possible after budget enactment. All teachers will be given notice of their class and/or subject assignments, responsibility assignments and room assignments for the forthcoming year and not later than July 31. In the event that changes in such schedules, class and/or subject assignments, responsibility assignments or room assignments are proposed after the above dates, all affected teachers will be notified promptly in writing and, upon request of the employee, the changes will be promptly reviewed between the Superintendent or the Superintendent's representative and the teacher.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.

  • Room Assignments A. The University draws students from many states, nations, races and religions. It will be the responsibility of each resident to respect the rights of all residents in university residence halls. Admission to Texas A&M University – Texarkana and any of its sponsored programs is open to qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Room and roommate assignments are made without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • SUBLET/ASSIGNMENT The Lessee may not transfer or assign this Lease, or any right or interest hereunder or sublet said leased Premises or any part thereof without first obtaining the prior written consent and approval of the Lessor.
