Lead Nurse. 1. The Lead Nurse will be a member of the Association and shall be covered by the terms of this Agreement. The position shall be posted and filled according to this Agreement. The number of hours and positions will be determined by the Hospital. 2. The Lead Nurse will assume responsibility for clinical oversight of the unit where she/he works, consistent with the Lead Nurse job description. 3. The Lead Nurse will be paid a six percent (6%) differential above his/her base rate of pay. 4. In the event a regular Lead Nurse is not working, a relief Lead Nurse shall be appointed, if needed, based on his/her ability to perform the Lead Nurse functions. Relief Lead Nurse shall be paid the same six percent (6%) differential above his/her base rate of pay for all hours worked as a Lead Nurse. 5. The Hospital also agrees that a Lead Nurse’s functions cannot be such that, in the aggregate, such functions would result in the Lead Nurse being a supervisor for purposes of the National Labor Relations Act. 6. Both parties recognize that Managers may perform patient care or clinical functions on a regular basis, and the performance of this work will not be a violation of the Agreement. There will be a maximum of one Manager performing clinical functions per work shift in a department (e.g., regular patient assignment or performing lead functions). Additional Managers, however, may work in the unit to perform preceptor/education functions, or if additional staffing requirements remain and Nurses are not available to work. The assignment of additional Managers shall not result in ROHing of qualified Staff Nurses.

Lead Nurse. The work year for the lead nurse is the teacher work year as defined by Article VII (Teacher Work Year) plus up to and including an additional five (5) days as determined by the Superintendent/designee. Such additional day/days shall be scheduled by mutual agreement between the Lead Nurse and the Superintendent/designee within the ten (10) days immediately preceding the regular work year. The Lead Nurse shall be compensated for each such additional workday actually worked at the Lead Nurse’ per diem rate in effect on the date that the work is performed.
Lead Nurse. A lead nurse is an RN for acute care and RN or LPN in long- term care, who is assigned the responsibility of a patient care unit for a complete shift.
Lead Nurse. A nurse designated by the nursing manager to coordinate department activities during designated shift. Upon acceptance of this responsibility the nurse will be given a current task list specific tothe designated area, and shall be oriented to those tasks. Guidelines for the role will be mutually developed and reviewed annually by the Clinic and nursing staff representatives. Lead Nurses will be chosen by management from the pool of available and qualified staff RNs employed in the Clinic.
Lead Nurse. Registered Nurse who is specifically assigned by the Hospital limited supervisory responsibilities (i.e., delegated authority to assign the work of other nurses in the unit, to monitor performance, and to report poor performance or rule violations to a supervisor), on either a temporary or permanent basis, for at least a full shift. A lead nurse shall be appointed by the Hospital in the following factual situations: a. When an RN is working as the only RN on a nursing unit and shift where staffing patterns and practices dictate that there should be two or more RNs on that nursing unit and shift. b. When the Hospital appoints an experienced RN as a lead nurse/preceptor for a nurse in a Hospital residency program. c. When it is determined by written evaluation by the Hospital that an inexperienced, newly hired RN requires close supervision by an experienced RN in the same unit and shift during the first forty-five (45) days of the inexperienced RN’s introductory period. d. When the Hospital in its discretion assigns lead nurse status to a particular RN.
Lead Nurse. The District shall appoint a Lead Nurse who shall assist the Director of Special Education with the organization and training of school nurses. The Lead Nurse shall receive additional compensation consistent with compensation provided to Department Chairpersons. The duties and responsibilities of the Lead Nurse shall be developed by the Director of Special Education in consultation with school nurses.

  • Human Leukocyte Antigen Testing This plan covers human leukocyte antigen testing for A, B, and DR antigens once per member per lifetime to establish a member’s bone marrow transplantation donor suitability in accordance with R.I. General Law §27-20-36. The testing must be performed in a facility that is: • accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks or its successors; and • licensed under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act as it may be amended from time to time. At the time of testing, the person being tested must complete and sign an informed consent form that also authorizes the results of the test to be used for participation in the National Marrow Donor program.

  • SPECIALIZED JOB CLASSES Where there is a particular specialized job class in which the pay rate is below the local market value assessment of that job class, the parties may use existing means under the collective agreement to adjust compensation for that job class.

  • Orally Administered Anticancer Medication In accordance with RIGL § 27-20-67, prescription drug coverage for orally administered anticancer medications is provided at a level no less favorable than coverage for intravenously administered or injected cancer medications covered under your medical benefit.

  • Selection Planning Prior to the issuance to consultants of any requests for proposals, the proposed plan for the selection of consultants under the Project shall be furnished to the Association for its review and approval, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 of Appendix 1 to the Consultant Guidelines. Selection of all consultants’ services shall be undertaken in accordance with such selection plan as shall have been approved by the Association, and with the provisions of said paragraph 1.

  • Screening After you sign and date the consent document, you will begin screening. The purpose of the screening is to find out if you meet all of the requirements to take part in the study. Procedures that will be completed during the study (including screening) are described below. If you do not meet the requirements, you will not be able to take part in the study. The study investigator or study staff will explain why. An ECG measures the electrical activity of the heart • You may be tested for COVID-19 o Blood tests for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B, and hepatitis C o Blood tests to see how your blood clots ▪ Fibrinogen ▪ PT/INR/aPTT o Blood tests for amylase and lipase (enzymes that help with digestion, Part B only) o Blood tests for a lipid (fats) panel (Part B only) ▪ Total cholesterol ▪ Triglycerides ▪ HDL ▪ Direct HDL o Blood tests to check your thyroid function (Part B and Part C only) ▪ TSH ▪ Free T4 o Urine to test for drugs of abuse (illegal and prescription) o Urine tests to check your albumin/ creatinine ratio o Females who have not had a period for at least 12 months in a row will have a blood hormone test to confirm they cannot have children • The study investigator may decide to do an alcohol breath test • The use of proper birth control will be reviewed (males only) • You will be asked “How do you feel?” HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C will be tested at screening. If anyone is exposed to your blood during the study, you will have these tests done again. If you have a positive test, you cannot be in or remain in the study. HIV is the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). If your HIV test is positive, you will be told about the results. It may take weeks or months after being infected with HIV for the test to be positive. The HIV test is not always right. Having certain infections or positive test results may have to be reported to the State Department of Health. This includes results for HIV, hepatitis, and other infections. If you have any questions about what information is required to be reported, please ask the study investigator or study staff. Although this testing is meant to be private, complete privacy cannot be guaranteed. For example, it is possible for a court of law to get health or study records without your permission.

  • Physician Visits This plan covers the services of a physician or other provider in charge of your medical care while you are inpatient in a general or specialty hospital.
