Leave payment a) The pay rate for annual leave is the employee's normal rate of pay as prescribed under Schedule 1 at the time the employee takes leave.
b) An annual leave loading of 17.5% on 4 weeks leave each year is included in the pay rate as prescribed in Schedule 1.
Leave payment a) The pay rate prescribed under Schedule 1 includes a component instead of paid annual leave.
b) Annual leave will therefore be unpaid at the time it is taken.
c) An annual leave loading has been included in the pay rate as prescribed under Schedule 1 of this agreement.
Leave payment. When an employee takes a period of personal/carer’s leave the employee is entitled to be paid at the employee’s normal rate of pay.
Leave payment. If the approved workshop or conference is scheduled on a workday, the employee shall be paid for his/her normal work hours on that day or for the hours spent at the conference or workshop (excluding the lunch break), whichever is greater.

a) Each Employee, before going on annual leave, must be paid, in advance, the amount which they would have received for working ordinary time hours if they had not been on leave unless the Employee chooses to be paid weekly.
a) The loading of 17.5% must be calculated on the rates loadings and allowances prescribed by:
(i) Clause 11 Wage rates and remuneration and Appendix B whichever is applicable of this Agreement and loadings and allowances if such rates, loadings and allowances would have been received by the Employee for working ordinary time had the employee not been on annual leave in accordance with Clause 31.2(b) of the BCGOA, including:
(ii) Clause 25 of the Award (Living away from home - distant work)
(iii) Appendix C - Fares allowance of this Agreement
(iv) Clause 19.2 - Leading hand allowance (if applicable) of the BCGOA.
(v) The loading prescribed above shall also apply to proportionate leave on lawful termination.
(vi) In the case of an Employee who would have worked on shiftwork had they not been on leave, clause 31.2(c) of the BCGOA will apply.
a) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Agreement the Company giving any leave in conjunction with the Christmas - New Year holidays may, at the Company's option, either:
(i) stand down without pay during the period of leave any Employee who has not yet qualified for annual leave hereof, or
(ii) stand down for the period of leave any Employee who has not qualified for annual leave hereof and pay the Employee (up to the period of leave then given) at a rate of one-twelfth of an ordinary week's wages in respect of each 36 hours' continuous service (excluding overtime).
b) Provided that where the Company at their option decides to close down their establishment at the Christmas - New Year period for the purpose of giving the whole of the annual leave due to all, or the majority of their Employees then qualified for such leave, the Company shall give at least two months' notice to their Employees of their intention so to do.

Leave payment. 19.5.1 Paid adoption leave, is an entitlement available to an employee who is to be the primary care-giver. The entitlement is for 3 weeks of adoption leave paid at the ordinary weekly rate of pay (or the period of paid adoption leave taken, whichever is the lesser) commencing on or after the date of placement of the child.
19.5.2 Prior to the date of taking custody of the child, the employee must have completed 40 weeks of continuous service with the Company.
19.5.3 Except as provided in this subclause, adoption leave shall be granted without pay.
Leave payment a) Payment for period of leave Each Employee, before going on leave, shall be paid in advance the wages which would ordinarily accrue to him during the currency of the leave unless by other agreement between the Company and Employee.
b) Annual leave loading Annual leave loading is not payable under this Agreement, as such entitlement has been incorporated into Employee remuneration as detailed in clause 5.1.2.
