Length of Sick Leave. When short-term absences extend longer than initially estimated, employees will contact Safety and Security Office to verify their status no less than weekly unless their leave is converted to long term health leave, at which time employees will comply with the provisions of Section C of this article.

Length of Sick Leave. If absences due to personal illness exceed five (5) consecutive days during which the teacher would normally be on duty, the Board of Education shall have the authority to request a "Physician's Certificate" to be completed and presented to the building principal and hence forwarded to the treasurer.
Length of Sick Leave. If absence due to personal illness exceeds five (5) consecutive days during which the employee would normally be on duty, the Board shall have the authority to request a “Physician’s Statement” be completed and presented to the Superintendent, the building Principal, or supervisor verifying that the member is physically capable of returning to work.
Length of Sick Leave. In each fiscal year an employee is entitled to ten (10) days of sick leave for illness or injury without loss of pay. Unit members on extended work year will accumulate additional sick leave in direct proportion to that of employees on regular work year.   • Accrual of Sick Leave a. A full-time employee shall accrue four (4) hours of sick leave for each biweekly pay period, or the number of hours that are directly proportionate to the number of days worked during less than a full-pay period, without limitation as to the total number of hours that may be accrued. b. A part-time employee shall accrue sick leave at a rate directly proportionate to the percent of time employed. c. An employee appointed under Other Personal Services (OPS) shall not accrue sick leave.

  • Extension of Sick Leave Unless an employee otherwise requests in writing, an employee who has used up her sick leave credits shall be granted advanced sick leave with pay for a period up to fifteen (15) days subject to the deduction of such advanced leave from any sick leave credits subsequently earned.
