Limited Term Assignments. 1. Substitute, relief, special limited term, emergency, and provisional appointees assigned to classifications covered by this Agreement shall be requested, authorized and filled in accordance with Personnel Commission Rule 671 and all related provisions of the California Education Code.

Limited Term Assignments. Recess Periods (summer school): Employees shall be offered first opportunity to limited term assignments during recess periods in their current job classification. Employees will be placed on the list by district seniority and already prescribed hiring and placement practices of the Personnel Commission. An eligibility list consisting of the top three ranks will be provided to the hiring authority.

Transit Supervisor An employee in the classification of Transit Supervisor will receive $1.90 per hour over the employee‟s base salary rate when assigned to perform day-to-day supervision and coordination in the absence of an incumbent in the management classification of Base Superintendent. Unless specifically provided otherwise in Federal law, the pay differential shall not apply to overtime worked. The pay differential assignment shall be assigned on a rotational basis by seniority among all volunteers qualified to perform the work (as determined by management) for a period not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days unless extended by agreement between management and PSA.

If employees do not accept, or are unavailable for recess assignments in their current job classification, the District may offer recess assignments on a limited term basis to other employees. Employees who accept a recess assignment on a limited term basis shall continue to accrue benefits, but shall receive wages applicable to the recess assignment classification. If the applicable range is lower than the employee's regular assignment, the employee shall be placed at the same step as their regular assignment, or at the accelerated hiring rate step, if that is greater. Summer Session Programs: Employees shall be offered first opportunity to limited term assignments during Summer Session programs in their current job classification. Employees will be placed on the list by district seniority. An eligibility list consisting of the top three ranks will be provided to the hiring authority.

  • Employees on Long Term Supply Assignments Employees completing long term supply assignments may only access sick leave and short term disability leave in the fiscal year in which the allocation was provided. Any remaining allocation may be used in subsequent long term supply assignments, provided these occur within the same fiscal year. Employees employed in a Long Term Supply Assignment which is less than the ordinary period of employment for the position shall have their sick leave and short term disability allocations pro-rated accordingly. Where the length of the long term supply assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/short term disability leave to occur. If a change is made to the length of the assignment, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively.

  • Notice to Union of Long Term Layoff In the event of a pending layoff of a permanent or long-term nature, the Home will:

  • Teaching Assignment For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.
