Lodge Leave Sample Clauses

Lodge LeaveThe City shall accredit to a leave fund three (3) hours of leave from each Lodge member’s vacation time, per calendar year. These hours will be deducted from the member’s leave each anniversary date of the contract. Any unused hours in the fund shall be carried over into the next year but no more than 20 days can be accumulated. This leave will be for use by the Lodge at any time during the year for such functions as conventions, educational meetings, legislative hearings, conferences, and others as deemed necessary by the Lodge. The Lodge may utilize the aforementioned provision by the President of the Lodge making a written request to the Chief of Police indicating who shall be using the leave, the times and dates of the requested leave, the total number of hours to be utilized and the specific purpose for the leave. Such leave shall be reviewed for approval on the same basis as vacation leave.
Lodge LeaveXxxxx leave must be granted, to the extent that there is no interference with the City operations, to employees who are selected, delegated, or appointed to attend conventions or education conferences of the Lodge, for a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) hours for the Department per fiscal year. The Lodge will reimburse the City for the actual hours used as Lodge Leave at the hourly rate for the officers who utilize this benefit. If at the time the Lodge Leave is granted, the request causes a drop below minimum xxxxxxx standard, the Lodge shall have the option of (1) reimbursing the City the hourly rate of the officers who replace the officers on lodge leave; (2) arranging Duty Trades; or (3) withdrawing the request for Lodge Leave. Any request for Xxxxx Leave shall be submitted in writing by the Lodge to the employee's immediate supervisor and shall be answered, in writing, no later than ten (10) days following the request, with final authority residing with the Chief of Police.
Lodge Leave. At the request of the FOP, a leave of absence without pay may be granted to any one member at one time to attend a convention or similar function for a short duration. Members may choose to utilize vacation and compensatory time to cover the wages of the member for the short duration of time not compensated. This subsection is independent and separate of the provisions provided for in Article 4.
Lodge LeaveSECTION 1. Lodge representatives may be granted up to a total of two hundred (200) hours per calendar year, which may be taken intermittently, to conduct the following FOP activities: a) FOP-related seminars and educational programs; b) FOP Kansas State Lodge Board meetings; c) FOP Kansas State Lodge conferences and conventions; and, d) National FOP Board meetings or conferences and conventions. e) Attend legislative hearings to discuss issues related to collective bargaining and terms and conditions of employment of bargaining unit members. f) Attend Parole Regional meetings to discuss membership with Parole staff members. Lodge leave is a pool of two hundred (200) hours meant to be shared annually among Lodge members for participation in the above listed Lodge activities. Once the two hundred (200) hours are exhausted, Lodge representatives shall be allowed to request vacation or compensatory time to conduct such activities.

  • Court Leave Leave of absence with pay shall be given to every employee, other than an employee on leave of absence without pay or under suspension, who is required:

  • Education Leave If required by the Hospital, an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefits to write examinations to upgrade his or her employment qualifications. Where employees are required by the Hospital to take courses to upgrade or acquire new employment qualifications, the Hospital shall pay the full costs associated with the courses. Subject to operational requirements, the Hospital will make every reasonable effort to grant requests for necessary changes to an employee's schedule to enable attendance at a recognized up-grading course or seminar related to employment with the Hospital."
